Thank you for creating for me! I’m so excited to see what you choose to make! All the words I’ve written here are for inspiration only; I’m sure I’m going to love whatever you come up with. :)
Some of these sections are going to be longer than others. That just means that I have thought more about some of these requests than others, or that I have more coherent thoughts about some of them. I like all these requests! If I didn't, I wouldn't be asking for potentially 10k of them!
Treats are also always welcome.

I have opted into the following in every single sign-up. Please enjoy! Be inspired by any/all of them!
Notes on Specific Mediums
Remixes/Recursive Works
My blanket permisson statement is on my ao3 profile. Please feel free to pick any of my works for this! :D I also give permission to do things like changing the ships in my works to fit whatever you're inspired to create, or changing the ending, etc. Use my works as canon the same way you'd use any original work!
TTRPG Stuff
I love TTRPGs and know a lot of systems. Go as narrative or crunchy as you'd like, use weird indie games, or make up your own thing! I just love the idea of translating canons into TTRPG rulesets and/or translating canon events into TTRPG scenarios.
Poetry
Fannish poetry is so cool! :D I'm serious about being open to any nominated style; have fun!
"Any In-Universe Documents that Fit the Canon Setting"
If you can justify it as fitting canon I'll be curious to see what you picked! I like unusual fanworks! If you aren't certain if [X Thing] suits canon, ask me about it via the mods (I'll probably say "oooh I'm curious about how you're making that work" in return but be nice to the mods and ask if it's something that might cause question).
Vids
I am open to vids for any canon! I have notes in my sign-up about how to deal with that for non-visual mediums, which I'm replicating here, along with some notes about visual canons with other related visual media:
Everything Else
I just think they're neat! :D I love the possibilities of all of those mediums, and I'd love to see how you use them!
See my all-purpose exchange letter for more general likes, including expansion on art and vid likes!

General Prompts (For Any Request)
Nahida & Scaramouche (Genshin Impact)
Nahida/Scaramouche (Genshin Impact)
Time, memory, and second chances.
They're both so old but so young at the same time, and I'm fascinated by that—as well as the complicated power dynamics inherent in their relationship. I'd love to read something that explores the ways they interact with each other, their newfound freedom (or something like that), and the powers they can wield and how they effect the world and each other.
How do they help each other grow? How do they hold each other in check? What do they know that the other doesn't? What do they share with each other, and what do they want to keep to themselves?
I'm also super interested in Scara's feelings about names, gender, and embodiment! (aka: if you want to write any kind of trans Scara, I am here for it!) He's been so many different people, and done so many different things, and now here's Nahida asking him to attempt to be a person for his own sake. He wears a hat that hides his face, doesn't give a shit what people call him, and doesn't want to engage with people. And yet! There's always so much under the surface, with him.
Nahida's also fascinating, because she has two true histories: the one Traveller remembers, where we first met her, and the new one where she's always been the Archon. I'd love something that plays with this dichotomy of Nahida's history and lived experience.
I have a DNW about mind control. Scara's plotlines often revolve around such things. You are welcome to include references to canon instances of puppetry and mind control and the like, but I'd prefer you treat them as the often-traumatic experiences any such extreme loss of control can be.
(I named my post-Sumeru-Archon-Quest Scaramouche 'Aozora', if that matters to you, but I'm fine with you calling him whatever makes sense to you in the context of this fic.)
I also think that a cyberpunk AU based on the Sumeru Archon Quest would be incredibly rad, if you want to play in a more AU space! When I played that questline I kept thinking about how it's cyberpunk themes in a solarpunk setting and it made my brain go !!!, especially when I got to the god-mecha. Dreams as progamming loops? The Akasha as internet implants? Nahida as a literal god in a machine (and Scaramouche as a differnt kind of god in a differnt kind of machine)? It's all so interesting to think about, and if you wanna go that direction I'd love to see what you come up with!
Albedo/Tighnari (Genshin Impact)
Albedo and Tighnari are such skilled researchers, and they'd have a great time exchanging (or comparing!) notes and dissecting each other's research in a friendly (/flirty?) way. They could also have extremely kinky sex for science reasons (or with knowledge gained via science). Really, they'd just make good science buddies!
Collei/Sucrose (Genshin Impact)
Collei & Sucrose (Genshin Impact)
Build on the Windblume Festival plotline and they connections they made there! I found them truly adorable during that. Just some nice anxious/autistic lesbians figuring out what they want in life!
While that sounds like I mostly want fluff, I'd also find it super fun to see the two of them go on an adventure together. Camping trip, research expedition, gaining the courage to visit somewhere new by doing it together... all sorts of fun things! Or sex. xD I like sex too.
Cyno & Lisa (Genshin Impact)
Cyno being Lisa's shidi fascinates me! They took such different routes through life despite having the same teacher. I'd love to see more of them together. And Razor, too, if you'd like! I think that Cyno and Razor could bond over their canine-related magic! Razor bringing Cyno (and Lisa) to meet Andrius/his wolf-father would be neat! Or they could spar together! Maybe Lisa takes Razor to visit Cyno in Sumeru? Lots of fun options here!
But focusing just on Cyno and Lisa, I'm curious about Lisa's relationship with the Akademiya in general and Cyno seems like a good window into that! His role in the Akademiya is a mirror of Lisa's role in the Knights of Favonious: where Lisa is an academic who can also fight, Cyno is a warrior who is also an academic. Something exploring the contrast between those elements would be neat!
I think it'd be particularly fun if they exchanged academic notes/papers with each other, or ended up collaborating on something, or otherwise teamed up somehow. Maybe one of them needs the other's expertise for a problem that came up! idk, I just think they're fun!
Lisa & Razor (Genshin Impact)
Mentorship! I love Lisa's teacher/academic side. She's so smart, and she studied at the Akademiya, and chooses instead to mostly be a librarian. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been a fantastic peer tutor at the Akademiya, and also a TA who ran intro-level classes. So of course she has a teenager she's mentoring! That's fantastic! I love that for her.
Razor is also fascinating! I think he's very cute. I think his raised-by-wolves backstory is fun. I'd love to hear more about how he began integrating into Mondstadt society, and how Lisa in particular became his mentor. How does he balance human and wolf society? Does he go back to the wolves occasionally? Do Lisa and Andrius collaborate on Razor's teaching?
I think it'd be fun to see anything examining this mentorship relationship. Razor's integration into society is on-going, of course, and anything exploring how Lisa helps him find his place will delight me. I also enjoy reading about education in general, and would be particularly interested in magical education!
Please show Razor as being intelligent, even if he doesn't speak fluently. His first language is wolf, and he's very able to convey his feelings and desires in the human tongue; that's what matters.
Bennet/Razor (Genshin Impact)
They're both cute and enthusiastic teens! I think they'd have a lot of fun running around together. Razor could show Bennet his wolf-family! Bennet could take Razor to meet his dads! They could go on adventures together! They're both pretty independent people who still have a lot to learn and plenty of space to grow, and I think it'd be lovely to see them doing that together.
I'd enjoy stories about exploration, missions for the Knights, hurt/comfort, and what being a young person in the Knights is like! I also think this could easily blend with the Lisa & Razor request, if any of that is inspiring for you.
(Note: I consider Bennet and Razor both to be old enough that I'm happy to read about them having sex if that's something you're interested in. They're adolescents, I think them fumbling around with sex is normal.)
Clorinde/Navia (Genshin Impact)
The first time I saw them interact I was like "Oh! This is yuri!" and then nothing about the further plot developments contradicted that first impression. It's very yuri to be sworn to protect the woman whose father you killed because he asked you to! It's also very yuri to fight side-by-side and then be like "anyway fuck you, go away, I never want to see you."
I'm extremely curious what kind of relationship, if any, they had before Navia's father died! And how that changed after his death, and how it's changing again now that they've reconciled. It's all very wide-open and I don't have very specific thoughts yet (they're so new!) beyond "wow, gay". I like them fighting alongside each other! I like the burden of being hated yet sworn to defend someone! I like the weight of secrets kept and the lightness of them being revealed! Truly, go full shojo on these two and I'll delight in it.
Neuvillette/Zhongli (Genshin Impact)
This ship is law/contracts and I am fascinated by the ways in which those are similar yet distinct from each other. I think they could argue with each other for ages. I want to know what Neuvillette thinks of Zhongli stepping down from his post. I want to know what Zhongli thinks of Neuvillette's relationship with the Melusine. Truly, I just think they're very neat together! Anything exploring their potential dynamics will be cool!
also I want them both to be trans in some way or other and/or to have high-formality bdsm/kink scenes. I think they'd be very good at those. I think that drawing up the rules might be part of the kink/scene itself for them, tbh, and that's delightful too.
Childe/Neuvillette (Genshin Impact)
ngl this is like 80% me wanting them to fight and have sex based entirely on the end of act 2 of fontaine's archon quest. I just think it'd be hot! Neuvillette showing off his power and Childe being so into it is fantastic. I doubt Neuvillette would do anything while Childe is imprisoned, but Childe might try to tempt him anyway, and after... well, then there isn't any specific legal problem with reinacting Childe's kink if they want, right?
Childe/Neuvillette/Zhongli (Genshin Impact)
Now, if you take established Childe/Zhongli and have Neuvillette punishing Childe, that'd draw Zhongli's attention... This is truly just the combination of the above two prompts plus the fact that I do understand why Childe/Zhongli is such a fun relationship even if I never request it. xD
More helpfully, these are three very powerful individuals with the potential to find it relaxing to be in a relationship with other people whose power matches theirs. It's hard to accidentally harm someone who is your equal! I don't think it'd be easy for them to find a good balance between them, but I think it'd be quite rewarding.
Solo: Dainsleif (Genshin Impact)
He's made of mysteries! Also he's a window into Khaenri'ah! Anything exploring him as a character and contemplating what he's doing would be fantastic! I'm particularly interested in how he's survived so long, how sad he is about the passage of time, and what he might know about the Traveller. (ngl the first time I saw Dainsleif I was like "...are you a time-travelling iteration of the Traveller? or the Traveller's kid from the past? Or something?" and I still think that'd be an interesting AU!)
Solo: Scaramouche (Genshin Impact)
I'm curious about all the gaps in his life throughout the years! Tell me about his creation! About his time wandering around! About how he ended up recruited into the Harbingers/Fatui! About what it's like to be free to do whatever he wants in Sumeru and getting backed into being part of the Akademiya! Does he have friends? Does he want friends? Has he ever had a pet? What does it even mean to be a puppet? (Has he ever interacted with Albedo or other created beings?) What are his feelings about names? Has he ever chosen his own name? What about gender?
Solo: Tighnari (Genshin Impact)
I love Tighnari as an academic and an educator! I love that he wants to do more practical/hands-on learning that he can provide to anyone and everyone! I love that he's so respected by everyone in his community and that they know just how skilled he is! I love how much he cares for people, both as a medic/healer and simply because he likes people! I love how endlessly curious he is and how much he delights in learning new things! I think it's so fantastic that he wants to protect people and the natural world and has found a job where he can do all these things he loves so much!
A variety of assorted headcanons about Tighnari for you to use or not as you wish: He's autistic (certainly has the infodump habit!). He's a monsterfucker (also a plantfucker). He'll try anything once (especially when it comes to food). He likes public speaking (see: educator).
Please feel free to pick literally anyone to have him interact with in gen ways! Additionally, here's another couple people I'd love to see him shipped with romantically and/or sexually: Sucrose, Albedo, Gorou, Baizhu, Candace
(also butch he/him lesbian Tighnari is my dream version of him but obviously you don't gotta write that)
WB: The Akasha (Genshin Impact)
Love a good cybernetic computer system that also has the ability to steal your dreams! I'm fascinated by how the Akasha system worked. Was it functioning as intended during the Sumeru archon quest? Had its purpose been corrupted? If so, how much? What led people to rely on it so much? How much information was being secreted away? How strange did it seem to people from other lands? How did it feel to leave the range of the Akasha and visit elsewhere? Anything exploring the Akasha and its relationship to education would also be rad!
WB: The Akademiya (Genshin Impact)
This mostly me wanting to know more about how it works! :D Do a deep dive into any Darshan! Tell me about academic papers! What does a typical class schedule look like? What's an example of a capstone project/essay? How do people get into the Akademiya? What's it like for people who come from outside Sumeru? How much is it being reorganized in the wake of the Sumeru Archon quest/Nahida's rise? Please feel free to use literally any in-universe documents you feel are appropriate instead of writing a narrative! :D
WB: Gnoses (Genshin Impact)
They're so powerful! They can do so many things! They're akin to visions but for gods, sort of? Or something? Ther's one for each element, probably? What do they do? What's it like to hold one when you aren't an archon? What does it take to channel its power? What can they do for people who aren't archons? What special things do they allow archons to do? Literally anything exploring these magical devices would be cool!
WB: The Creation of a God (Genshin Impact)
When Scara almost becomes a god (or temporarily does become a god), Nahida makes a comment about the top-ranked Harbingers having power equivalent to a god's. What's the division, then, between "very powerful individual" and "a god"? What allowed the Akademiya to use Scara to craft a god machine? Have other people attempted to become gods? Have they succeeded? What makes an archon a god, or vice versa? Lots of stuff to explore!
WB: Khaenri'ah (Genshin Impact) I'm fascinated by the history that keeps getting teased about this place! I'd love any exploration of it you'd like, from pre-war speculation to the war that destroyed it to the present-day ruins. Use narrative or documents or anything else you'd like to explore this!

WB: Logistics and Strategy of the Sunshot Campaign (MDZS)
I mostly prefer MDZS to CQL because I read it first. Feel free to blend versions (I know them all), but here are the elements of MDZS-the-novel which I really care about:
1. WWX creating modao (+lack of yin iron)
2. the timeline
3. gray morality
Jiāng Chéng | Jiāng Wǎnyín & Jiāng Yànlí & Wèi Yīng | Wèi Wúxiàn (MDZS)
I love the strength and important of their friendship/siblingship! I love stories about them growing up in Lotus Pier and the ways in which they help each other resist the worst parts of their parents' expectations/punishments. I love seeing them do shenanigans and play pranks together. I love stories about them after Lotus Pier burns, either during the war or during the rebuilding effort, supporting each other and making the impossible possible again. In a world where Jiang Yanli lives, I'd love something about their adult relationships once they've settled into themselves and the world isn't so tense anymore.
Jiāng Chéng | Jiāng Wǎnyín/Wèi Yīng | Wèi Wúxiàn (MDZS)
They have so many intense feelings about each other and I think that should've been something related to romantic/sexual desire at some point. Possibly many points! Probably in various different forms.
For instance, I absolutely believe they did teenage sexual experimentation with each other (likely with "we're just bros helping each other out" vibes). Whether this is handjobs, blowjobs, or something else? Up to you!
I also think that after WWX's resurrection (and especially after the revelation about the golden core transplant), there's a whole new set of feelings to deal with! Sex as a form of connection that can't be denied. Powerful feelings of love that could be framed as brotherly but are more intense than most sibling relationships. Anything complicated and twisted and possessive.
If this sounds like I mostly want sex-things with them, that's just because that's the easiest thing to frame. I'd love them doing weird kinky things and not realising it. I'd love them having a strong undefinable bond that involves kissing. I'd love them never naming the love but knowing it's there and letting it guide their lives. (Aro and/or ace JC is my beloved.)
Jiāng Yànlí/Jīn Zǐxuān/Luó "Mián Mián" Qīngyáng (MDZS)
I love so many forms of this! Take this as a scattering of ideas and do what you'd like with the final result!
Jiāng Yànlí/Niè Huáisāng (MDZS)
I love the idea of the two of them both appearing very soft and elegant and then ripping all who oppose them to shreds when their loved ones are threatened. It's delightful! Anything that engages with what can happen when two people who would much prefer to be in the background stand up and use all their power to protect their brothers (and, incidentally, everyone else) would be super fun.
I am here for arranged marriages, extended courtships, and as slow a burn as you're into writing. Or, tbh, just them having an absolutely fantastic time enjoying themselves with each other! After all, they're both well-trained in the arts, both like beautiful things, and are beautiful themselves. :3 As well, sumptuous descriptions of flowers and nature and art and craftwork are always welcome.
Jiāng Yànlí/Wēn Qíng (MDZS)
Truly a lot of this request is me pining for a world in which they both live. I love seeing women supporting each other, and I think that Jiang Yanli and Wen Qing could be very good for each other in that way. So, a series of AU possibilities to start with: AU where Wen Qing seduces Jiang Yanli at literally any stage of the show. AU where Jiang Yanli convinces Wen Qing to defect to the Jiang clan. AU where Jiang Yanli refuses to allow Wen Qing to die for WWX and WN's seeming error at Qiongqi Pass.
I'd also love a more canon-compliant relationship during the Cloud Recesses as they bond over being two of the only women and their brothers haring off together a lot. Or something or other during the time Wen Qing is healing Jiang Cheng—sex as stress relief, maybe? I'd also enjoy Jiang Yanli visiting Yiling/the Burial Mounds in theory for WWX but actually for Wen Qing.
Jin Guangyao/Nie Huaisang (MDZS)
I'm obsessed with these two and how they're reflections of each other. Let them be awful to and about each other. Let them love and hate and vacillate between the two until nobody, including them, knows what their feelings are other than INTENSE.
Maybe JGY lives and this is something approximating reconciliation. Maybe they get together during Sunshot. Maybe NHS starts hooking up with JGY to manipulate him after NMJ dies. Maybe something else. So long as they're weird about each other I'm down for it.
I also think they're fantastic for political shenanigans and examinations of the timeskip/period when WWX was dead. Love to learn more about that time period!
Some suggestions for starting points:
And some IPQ tags I love for them:
Lan Wangji & Mo Xuanyu (MDZS)
Lan Wangji/Mo Xuanyu (MDZS)
I am gong to go off one one specific thing that I am deeply fascinated about the possibilities of, which will hopefully help you see the Vibes (tm) of what I'm after with this relationship! If you've got other ideas exploring this relationship, I am extremely here for them too! (LWJ and MXY meeting because of NHS? LWJ and MXY only meeting when they do in canon and having a WWX-based relationship? LWJ saving child!MXY during a Night Hunt and then meeting him again later? Lots of possibilities! But here is one big one that keeps eating my mind.)
What if LWJ takes MXY as a disciple after MXY is kicked out of Jinlin Tai? I love mentorship stories, and I think that MXY and LWJ are both in pretty bad places at a similar time (LWJ just post-seclusion, MXY post getting kicked out) but could help each other build themselves back up.
I know there's often people who think about how MXY might remind LWJ of WWX, and that's fair. However, I'm more interested by how WWX standing up for the Wen Remnants might have inspired LWJ to "go where the chaos is" and look out for people nobody else is protecting. MXY, in this context, is exactly the kind of person LWJ would scoop up and protect: a young person kicked out of Jinlin Tai for unsubstantiated rumours, with a lot of talent and a home that doesn't nurture him. Of course LWJ might take him in!
MXY, for his part, would of course imprint on LWJ as an older brother and mentor figure. LWJ might not be a great teacher at first, but he's trying, and he's absolutely going to take care of MXY as best he can. MXY also likely knows more practical things about the world than LWJ; for all that MXY was raised in a powerful town family, it's still a town family and not a cultivator family, so MXY is more aware of how the common person views cultivators and can bridge the gap between LWJ and those he wants to help.
People would no doubt figure out that LWJ's disciple/companion is The Jin Bastard Who Was Kicked Out For (rumoured) Homosexual Harrassment. What does that do to their reputations? Does it make people question whether MXY was really in the wrong?
Overall, I'd just love a story about them learning about each other and wandering the jianghu helping people. (Or maybe something about LWJ bringing MXY back to the Cloud Recesses to meet the rest of his family and also A-Yuan! MXY as A-Yuan's gege sounds really cute too.)
Lan Wangji/Mo Xuanyu/Wei Wuxian (MDZS)
Feel free to take inspiration from the MXY & LWJ and MXY & WWX sections for how to set this up! Everything I said about those relationships in an & context can be shifted into a / context if you'd like!
I think that a get-together between MXY, LWJ, and WWX would be great because it's so easy for it to turn into pining from literally any orientation and I love every way that could go.
WWX/LWJ with pining MXY is classic, of course. The idea that things happen more or less as in canon but MXY is Also There adds a layer of amusing complication, especially since MXY would be like "oh shit they're so in love" way before WWX realises it and thus before anything happens, so it'd likely be a surprise to MXY when WWX and/or LWJ turns to him and goes "want to join us?"
MXY/LWJ while WWX suddenly realises his feelings? This is easiest if MXY and LWJ have already been together in some form before they bring WWX back, of course, but it can also work even if LWJ and MXY only meet when they do in canon. I'd find it super neat if this happens because MXY confesses to LWJ first and LWJ is like "oh!" and reciprocates, and now WWX is stuck watching/experiencing this and trying to figure out if his feelings for LWJ are emotional bleed or what.
MXY/WWX while LWJ desperately convinces himself he's not jealous? The idea of being in a relationship with someone you're bound to, body and/or soul, is great! How do MXY and WWX balance that relationship? How could LWJ ever break into this relationship, when they're so obviously intimate to begin with? But, fortunately for LWJ, MXY and WWX do also like him; someone just needs to realise that Saying Words About Feelings is helpful.
Of course, if you have some other ideas, that's awesome too! I'd also be extremely here for established relationship casefic, if that's more your jam than slow-burn pining.
Mò Xuányǔ & Wèi Yīng | Wèi Wúxiàn (MDZS)
Mo Xuanyu/Wei Wuxian (MDZS)
What if MXY summons WWX as a ghost? Or otherwise brings WWX back from the dead in a way that doesn't require MXY to die as well. Then they could have a really interesting friendship! They're practically age-peers, if you only count the years WWX was Actually Alive, and would have a lot of interesting life experiences to compare.
If WWX is a ghost, I love the idea of WWX being capable of body-sharing with MXY when he wants to physically interact with the world. Alternately, maybe the summoning works as in canon except that MXY's soul is also there, and so they'd be two people in one body to begin with! Anything exploring the consequences and logistics of said body-sharing would be awesome.
WWX loves teaching, and MXY would be a great student for him. I think the idea of WWX and MXY wandering around being the local helpful demonic(?) cultivators is hilarious and a great set-up for casefic. Or for something about them studying magic together! WWX is a nerd in general, and MXY has to have some interest and ability to have successfully used such taboo magic to bring WWX back. Discussions of ethics and morality and what's acceptable divergences from the orthodox canon of cultivation sound great!
If you go for a body-sharing story, I think it's super interesting for at least one of MXY or WWX to be trans. Two people having different body/gender feelings about the same form is just neat! (If you aren't comfortable writing gender/trans stuff, that's totally fair; I just wanna mention that I'm interested in this!)
Lan Wangji/Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian (MDZS)
Nie Huaisang/Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian (MDZS)
I think they're also all very clever in different ways, and I love seeing that cleverness manifest in how they interact with the world/each other. If they work together, they're a power triad that the other sects cannot stand against. I love every part of this triangle. I'm happy to have you show an established relationship gain a third element, but I will also always find it more intriguing when the established relationship is not wangxian!
What if Lan Wangji helped Nie Huaisang resurrect Wei Wuxian? What if Nie Huaisang and Wei Wuxian got together because the Nie know things about taming resentful energy? What if they all got caught in some sex pollen array as teens/young adults and it got them all to realise feelings all at once?
A few fun IPQ tags for inspiration:
Niè Huáisāng & Wèi Yīng | Wèi Wúxiàn (MDZS)
Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian (MDZS)
They'd have so much chaos energy as teenagers with all their art skills and gleeful prankster vibes. I also think that they'd have for-funsies no-strings-attached sex at least once! Just to see what it's like! And once they're adults and finding their way back to a friendship/relationship that isn't shot through with NHS's manipulation... well, even more avenues for finding themselves again in poetry contests and art and also carefully-curated porn.
Mo Xuanyu & Nie Huaisang (MDZS)
Mò Xuányǔ/Niè Huáisāng (MDZS)
There are a lot of headcanons floating around about Nie Huaisang picking up Mo Xuanyu after Jinlintai kicks him out, and I'm into that! I prefer Mo Xuanyu having character and agency of his own; Nie Huaisang might be older and a mastermind schemer, but Mo Xuanyu is still a person. I am perfectly happy to have Nie Huaisang have feelings about Mo Xuanyu that are partially about Wei Wuxian and other people who Nie Huaisang thinks he has failed. I'd love to hear about how Nie Huaisang brings Mo Xuanyu into his schemes, too! Did Mo Xuanyu know what his role in this elaborate revenge plot was? Did he volunteer? Did he help create the plans? Anything like that would be fun!
Wèi Yīng | Wèi Wúxiàn & Wēn Qíng (MDZS)
Wen Qing might go “Ugh stop your ridiculous plans” but she gives him the opportunities and resources to do all his ridiculousness. She might not like his ideas, but she believes in his abilities even when he might not. I think this is no/low-romo but has lots of kink/sex potential and a TON of platonic intimacy stuff going on! I can also easily see them having sex as a way of dealing with pent-up emotion and because at the end of the day they’re the leaders of the Wen Remnants and nobody else will look at them. This is simplest to set during the Burial Mounds Settlement days, but I'm open to other time periods too!
Solo: Niè Huáisāng (MDZS)
He's one of my faves! I love his scheming, yes, but I love his playfulness too! I want him to have beautiful things, and make beautiful things, and be seen as an almost-perfect gentleman (the one flaw is his distaste for swordsmanship). So: Show me his birds and painting and music and calligraphy! I also have a fondness for the idea that NHS is a horse girl at heart and incredibly good at riding tricks.
He does some very cool astronomy and bagua-based puzzle-solving in Fatal Journey and I adore that side of him so much. I do love how much effort he puts into hiding his true intelligence; that identity game is very neat. Basically, anything that shows off NHS's capability and lets him be happy at least a little will be something I enjoy.
WB: Logistics and Strategy of the Sunshot Campaign (MDZS)
I like reading about wars. Tell me about the campaign maps, the war camps, the spy networks, the logistics of it all! How did the sects recruit their forces? How did the supply lines work? We're told about dramatic moments but not the details about how people get there. I want to know how people get there. Also, if you wanted to explain what happens to the territory formerly under the Qishan Wen's direct control once the campaign is over, I'd consider that within this request.

Prompts
I would prefer to see Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang as friends/queerplatonic partners rather than romantic/sexual partners.
I love the slice-of-life aspects of this canon's first season! I would love something that digs into the magic/superpowers and what they feel like, as well as the everyday nature of running the photography studio. I’m also super into the friendships between the main characters and how they support each other and help each other.
That said, I do also like crime dramas! The second season has a very different tone from the first season. I'm not sure how I'll feel about it until it's done, but I am excited about all the new worldbuilding and relationship possibilities opening up. If you'd rather lean into the darker/more intense tone of s2, that's totally fair.

I am here both for "Only the OT matters" (or even only ANH matters!) and "I'm pulling from literally any part of the EU and Legends that I want". (That said, I'm not particularly into Mandalore or Clone Culture, and I'd prefer you come up with your own headcanons rather than pulling from any specific fan-created mythos.)
Lando Calrissian/Leia Organa/Han Solo (SWOT)
Lando and Han have such "we have been in A Relationship Of Some Sort since we first met" energy, Lando is the kind of fashion-forward smooth-talker Leia appreciates, and Han and Leia are, well, themselves! Lots of interesting dynamics here, whether you go for a romantic triad, a swinger's threesome, or some comet arrangement where Lando's a part of their lives whenever he comes by (but goes off on his own whenever he likes).
Luke Skywalker/Biggs Darklighter (SWOT)
Luke and his small-town boyfriend! I'd love more about their pre-canon lives, or an AU where Luke goes to the Imperial Academy alongside Biggs, or just something where they rekindle their relationship once Luke arrives in the Rebellion and learns Biggs is there too.
Bail Organa/Breha Organa & Leia Organa (SWOT)
The Organa family! I love them! Truly, anything about them at any time in Leia's life would delight me. How did the Organas explain their sudden adoption of a child? What was it like growing up as Alderaan's adopted princess? Did Leia ever want to know more about her biological parents, or were her adopted/social parents enough? How early did Leia's interest in politics manifest? What was it like when she first got into politics? Who were Leia's friends as a youth, and what did her parents think of that? A nice family vacation! All the family coming together to protect the palace/planet from a scheme! Anything else you'd like!
Leia Organa/Luke Skywalker/Han Solo (SWOT)
One of the OT3s of all time! They're so much fun! I like how they all bounce off each other and support each other. I love all the adventures they have together and their different strengths and abilities. I also love them getting to chill and have some time to relax; they never get enough of that in canon.
I have no issue with Luke and Leia being related and still being into each other. They can be aware or unaware as you'd like; I'd prefer it simply not be an issue either way. (like: I do not kink on the incest. don't make a big deal about it in any direction and it's all good!)
Leia Organa/Han Solo (SWOT)
I don't know how to talk about them! I love them in canon. I love how they bring out a softness in each other that others rarely receive, but that they always blanket that in a protective fire. I love them arguing and teasing each other endlessly and it just draing them closer together. I love them being thrust into situations where they need to draw on each other's skills (Han Solo trying to be a diplomat; Leia Organa going undercover as a rogue). I'd love more about how Han stays with the Rebels (totally not for Leia) or about them figuring out what their relationship is like post-canon, or anything else you think would be fun!
Solo: Luke Skywalker (SWOT)
Luke has always been a fave of mine. I love the way he grows into himself over the course of the OT, the way compassion is his strength, and how dedicated he is to his family and friends. So, an assortment of potential ideas:
What if Luke went to the Imperial Academy? How would that disillusion him? How would he find his way to the Rebel Alliance? Would he ever meet Obi-Wan? Would Darth Vader ever notice him?
What if Luke and Obi-Wan rescued Luke's family and took them on the adventure? How would that change things?
What was it like for Luke to start a Jedi temple? Or anything about Luke meeting other Force users and constructing his personal syllabus of Important Force Things.
Solo: Leia Organa (SWOT)
I also adore her! She's such a delight! Her powerful personality, how tiny she is, and how stubborn and committed she is to the cause are all incredible. I'd love more about her relationship with the other survivors of Alderaan, her relationship with the Senate and the Alliance leadership (how has that changed with her parents' death?), and her relationship with the Force (whether or not she's a Jedi).
I'd also adore more about Leia going undercover as a bounty hunter! That moment in Jabba's palace where she takes off her helmet is so memorable to me, and I think it'd be super cool to read something about how Leia took/established that identity. (Does she ever use it again later? What about other undercover stuff she's done? Anything about that would be neat!)
WB: What people remember about the Jedi (SWOT)
This is one where I'm particularly curious as to views based purely on ANH or the OT! I'm fine with you taking all of movie (/EU/Legends) canon as well, of course, but the way Jedi are talked about in the OT is so fascinating. They're an old and rare order, and the movies/EU keep adding more and more—which is also interesting, but a whole different angle!
Honestly, I don't know what else to say here. The prompt is the prompt! Take it any direction you want! Urban legends, mythology, "my cousin's roommate's brother's aunty said she met a Jedi once", Imperial propeganda... it's all interesting to me!
WB: Rebel propaganda (SWOT)
Do they have propeganda? About what? How do they distribute it? How do they create it? Who listens to it? Are there Rebel zine smugglers? Pirate radio? Who comes up with the messaging? Do different cells have different messages? Are there arguments about how to phrase things? Anything and everything on this topic sounds super cool!
WB: Everyday life in the Rebellion (SWOT)
This is a good one for pulling from Andor and Kenobi (or, well, Rebels!), I feel like! There are a ton of ways to be part of the Rebel Alliance. I think this prompt is probably aiming at life in the Rebel bases, but I'd be down for any version of it: What about the spies? What about the undercover leadership? What about people who are part of a cell but not part of a large group and are always worried they have a target on their back? Any and all interpretations of what it's like to be an everyday member of the Rebellion under the Empire would be cool!

WB: Divines as Infrastructure (FatT)
Throughout the Divine Cycle, we're told that Divines are not just machines of war but can be machines of state and stability. They are capable of performing miraculous feats of power unlike anything else in space, but they also do very mundane work! They repair spaceships, speed up travel, build shelters, provide sustenance... What else do they do? How do people respond? How do governments/Divines choose if they're going to be used for infrastructure or war? Is it a choice? Are Divines built with a tendency towards one or the other?
Solo: Creator's Choice of Divine (FatT)
Any season, any era, any divine! What stories are told about them? How do people perceive them? How are they bound to society? How do they come into being? How do they die? Lots of fun things to explore here!
How are they made, if a divine is what people say it is? Do people make them to a purpose, or does that come later? How are they categorized? Do people categorize them?
Tell me the story of a single divine through all these eras. Tell me the story of how things are called divine. Tell me about people arguing about whether something is divine.
I'd love your thoughts about people and their relationship to divines. Candidate, Excerpt, Elect, or just ordinary everyday people! What do civilians think of Divines (and their pilots)? How do Divines interact with ordinary people? How do ordinary people pray to Divines, or what expectations do people have about Divines? Are those expectations broken when they interact?
Solo: Cassander Timaeus Berenice (FatT)
The thing about Cass is that I think they're very sad and also I love them. I'm also fascinated by them as a window into worldbuilding about Apostalos! What was it like to grow up as a prince? What was it like to leave? What was it like to return? What was it like to be turned into an Eidolon?
How did Apostolosians choose their eidolons during Cass' time? Why did Cass choose the eidolon they did? (Why did they choose to use other pronouns in human space? Did they fight for their Aposolosian pronouns for a while and then give up?)
What was their relationship with their siblings like? Did they have a good childhood? Did it hurt when Cass learned they were now the heir apparent? What was it like getting the news that Euanthe was hurt and Sokrates was a traitor and now it's all on their shoulders? Hell, what was it like to interact with Sokrates after all that?
What about being Apokine after running away to be part of a less-than-legal crew on counter/Weight? How did sneaking out to meet Aria and spar work? What was it like to pilot a legend? What was it like to become one?
Solo: Jace Rethal (FatT)
if I am being honest right now my mind is just like GAY TRANS MECH PILOTS but also like "wtf was it like to create Weight by accident" (I may come back with more thoughtful prompts but this is enough to aim you in a direction right? I'm not opposed to post-canon or during-canon stuff! It's just that the pre-canon stuff sticks in my mind more...)
Solo: ⸢Signet⸣ (Friends at the Table)
Signet is a window into the culture of the Divine Fleet in the lead-up to Twilight Mirage and also a window into the Divine Fleet that leaves after Twilight Mirage and I am fascinated by both of those periods of time and what they can tell us about the relationship between people and Divines. Also, she's just so old? Something engaging with that would be really cool!
Signet's relationship with Belgard also fascinates me! What was it like to be chosen as an Excerpt? What was it like to take on an Excerpt's name? How long were they together before Belgard died? What was it like to transition into being an Excerpt for a holy corpse you could still sort of live in? What about Belgard coming back? Anything focusing on that relationship! (/ or & or ambiguous and in-between are all good!)
Signet take so much onto herself and takes care of so many other people that I'd also love to see something about how other people take care of her instead. I love the idea that she goes and hires companions to just... hang out with her. That kind of soft domesticity is just really pleasing to read about, for me. I also love the idea that a lot of these companions teach her some interesting skill or trick (maybe not useful, but fun), so that kind of thing would be fun to see. (baking, crafting, sleight-of-hand tricks, gardening... all sorts of options here!) But also, Signet has friends! They could do the same thing!
Signet and Grand Mag's time as roommates fascinates me. Honestly, everything about their relationship fascinates me. Especially after Grand Mag reluctantly becomes an Excerpt through some fault of his own! But any period of time when they interact would be super cool!
holy shit the Chimeric Cadent backstory and how it includes Signet, god, fuck, I just listened to it and I want everything about Signet and the Waking Cadent on Palisade in the past and how/why they ended up becoming the Chimeric Cadent and how they helped the people of Palisade and literally everything about this. Please expand however you'd like. I'm making so many eyes about this conceptually.
also this cohost post Janine made about the Chimeric Cadent is pretty fun to think about too. :3
Solo: Grand Magnificent (FatT)
I love Grand Mag so much. He's so arrogant and so curious and I think about his relationship with Independence so much. (What if he'd gone with it? What if he'd become its Candidate? He made the most beautiful body and then he turned away and ran. Does he regret that? Does he ever wish he'd stayed?)
Anything about things he's built, things he's wanted to build, things he's regretted building. Mundane things as well as mechs. Art pieces. Experimental designs. Thought experiments. Commissions.
What is it like to be an Excerpt of something you never intended to make Divine? What is it like to build a Divine? What is it like to have your work thrown in your face, and be the one who doomed everyone and saved everyone all at once? (Grand does not always make good choices but he always makes understandable choices) How does he make up for his mistakes? How does he work his way to forgiveness?
I'd also enjoy anything about his relationships with other members of the Notion. I don't really ship him with anyone in a romantic/sexual way, but I'm super into his platonic relationships (friends and rivals and people who are both) and his relationships with his creations. Signet, Gig, and Fourteen are all people I'd love to see him interact with more!
Solo: Gucci Garantine (FatT)
What led her to become Saint Dawn? What was it like to play the role of both noble brat and vigilante? How hard was it to keep those lives separate? How hard was it to commit wholly to one while using the skills of the other?
I'd also love more about Gucci's role in Millenium Break's leadership! What's her role? How much did she influence the way MB grew? What position does she want and how does that differ from where she stands?
I am obsessed with HOUNDS and the knowledge that Gucci got captured by Veronique and Fealty at one point! I would adore more about (a) what she was doing before she got captured, (b) how she got back to MB after being captured, (c) what people in MB think about all this, and (d) what it's like for Gucci to work with Veronique and Fealty on Palisade after all that.
Solo: Clementine Kesh (FatT)
Solo: The Witch in Glass (FatT)
Clem | TWiG is fascinating and I'm particularly interested in the friction between these two aspects of her. How much Clem is there in TWiG? What name does she call herself? How does Gur's ghost factor into all this? Or, dig into her relationship with The Figure in Bismuth or other creations of hers. Or her relationship with the Reflecting Pool! Or with Perennial herself!
Clem-focused: Her role in the creation of MB is absolutely fascinating! Anything about her time on Fort Icebreaker. Pre-canon stuff about Clem's relationship with her family and how/why she ended up on Partizan commanding a squad of prisoners.
TWiG-focused: Her relationship with Perennial. Her time wandering around looking for a key on Palisade. How the Reflecting Pool became such an important city. What even her goals/motivations are right now.
Kalvin Brnine & Lattice | Refrain (FatT)
Mostly this is me pining for more about Brnine's clock with Refrain and/or more worldbuilding around Refrain in general! I loved the imagery of the theater and the way different people could appear within it depending on Refrain's mood and/or the person who views it. Is Brnine's relationship with Lattice or with Refrain? Could it be both?
What if Brnine saw Lattice and/or Refrain more? What if Brnine had entered the theater? What if Brnine had succeeded in convincing them to help the Cause? Anything exploring this relationship would be super cool!
Fealty & Véronique (FatT)
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH they were absolutely designed to hit me right in the heart and make me obsessed. I love them calling each other Anchor. I love them doubting the war. I love them sheparding people into the Mirage. Anything about them and their bond and the ways in which they love each other and rely on each other will delight me.
I want to know about how they made it through the Mirage and to Palisade! What was that like? How did they set up a refugee group? How did they end up joining the Cause? Is any of this what they expected? How much does Fealty remember about the Mirage and did they ever see Palisade before this?
Or things before they first sighted the Mirage together. How Veronique was chosen as an Elect. What their training was like. Fighting in the war together. Anything filling in the gaps between scenes in HOUNDS itself, too! Their time in the Scarnoc Debris Fields. Gaining followers and going UHHHHH about them.
Cor'rina Corrine/Misericorde (FatT)
they are very gay and I want more about their lives on Palisade as they absolutely do not help each other or love each other or work together at all (until they do)
We see some of their clashes in Last Shooting. I'd love to know more about them! We're told that they met before that game's start: What was that first encounter like? How did it set the tone?
Last Shooting is framed as a fictionalisation of real events. How accurate is it? Are there other records that tell a different story or frame the same events in different ways?
I'd also of course love more about their post-Last Shooting lives and how they end up as a Wayward Faction in Palisade! They're just fun characters! I love committed rivals!
Kalvin Brnine/Gucci Garantine (FatT)
Gucci and Brnine's relationship is awful and beautiful and I'd love an exploration of it. Every single phone call between them sucks. It's great. They're horrible for each other and so intertwined. What the fuck is their relationship. How did it start. How annoyed are they about continuing to work with each other throughout all these years. (How little do they want to admit they like it even though they complain.)
Solo: Coriolis Sunset (Friends at the Table)
I feel SO SAD for Cori all the time but also I am extremely into stories exploring religion, cults, religious cults, and their effects on people! So I love Cori very much. Anything touching on the above topics with Cori as a lens will delight me.
What's it like growing up in/with Devotion? What's it like to be chosen by Devotion? What was it like to grow wings? Relatedly, her whole rivalry thing with Elle would be fun to show the seeds of! Or to continue playing with in the present.
What's Cori's family like? We've seen some of them sketched out, but I'd love a dive into those relationships! The family seems... close? Big? We don't know much yet! Have fun exploring/expanding on them!
Cori's relationships with the crew! I love her and Brnine and Figure, and I'd adore more about her and Phrygian and Thisbe! Or with the NPCs! She was the newest member of the group until Saffron joined, and Saffron is also from the Mirage (though a different part than Cori); that might be fun to explore.
WB: Internal Structure/Operations/Public Perception of Millennium Break (FatT)
I am extremely here for all the petty factionalism and trying desperately to keep everyone together. We see The Cause having that in Palisade; how much does MB in and of itself have the same issues? Especially early on, we're shown a bunch of different factions attempting to ally together and it overall works but there are absolutely still factional lines to explore the friction between!
How does MB recruit? Do they have specific signs? Are there specific systems/locations known as being MB hotspots that you can go to? How do they screen for spies?
Especially post-PZN, how is MB seen? What stories and propeganda is there about them (positive or negative)? What sort of things are MB doing after PZN? How many of the stories told about them are about things they actually did, and how many are atrocities getting blamed on them as a convenient scapegoat?
WB: Resistance Operations in The Cause (FatT)
This is basically just an open invitation to tell me about literally anything that the Cause is doing that isn't shown on-screen! (Or about the details of what is shown on-screen but not expanded upon.) How are they organizing? What are their plans? Where are they holed up? How do they establish their bases? How do they select their targets? How do they recruit new members? How do they ensure they aren't filled with spies?
What do they know about the people they're fighting? What is the Cause's own spy network like? Do they have any deep-cover agents of their own? If so, how did they get them into position? How do they hear back from them? How does any of that work?
What are leadership meetings like? How was the leadership decided? How fragmented is the Cause? How much communiation is there between cells? How much is information kept secret for safety, and how do individuals feel about that? What's the balance of power between different groups? Is anyone annoyed by those balances of power?
How did the Cause come together in the first place? How did they end up in the groups they're in? Why was Gucci allowed to name them? Why are the groups mostly mixed? Why is the Blue Channel its own faction when it's like ten people and are there other small groups like that being run as sub-cells for the major influencers?
Basically: Tell me about this revolutionary group as an actual organization instead of as a backdrop to the Hero Shit that the Blue Channel keeps pulling. Maybe tell me about what more ordinary members think about the Blue Channel's nonsense? That'd be fun too.
Chine & M. Leopold Duvall (FatT)
they're queerplatonic body horror post-human people seeking different forms of Truth while coparenting a baby godling or something like that.
I just like them? A lot? More than I thought I would, honestly, but I'm extremely here for the different relationships they have with embodiment and horror. They've both been changed by their relationships with old powers (the Course, the Structure) and have very different feelings about that! But they knew each other before they were so visibly changed, and they don't run away from those changes but accept them and find the beauty and wonder in them and I love that.
I am here for both horror/gore and soft domesticity for these two and It!
Solo: Pickman (FatT)
I read Pickman as being generally aromantic, but I'm happy for her to have kinky sexual relationships. More about her relationships with Bucho, Alekest, or anyone in Zevunzolia would be great. Anything exploring her relationships with trains and the Shape would be fantastic. I just love her, really.
Trains! I'm fascinated by them in general, and Pickman's relationship with them is even more complicated. Show me Pickman interacting with Weird(er than usual) Trains! Chantilly, the Red Zephyr, etc. Pickman doesn't like trains, but she sure does respect them, and that's a great dichotomy when presented with trains that can and will talk back to her. Pickman's use of the Shape and attempts to control trains are also wild. It works more often than it has any right to and I love that for her.
Every time I remember about the fact that Pickman has a hole in her body and the Shape hovers between her horns I'm like "wow that's cool; when/how did those happen?" Were those things she was born with? Did something lead to them? Does Pickman even notice/think anything of it? Do other people?
Pickman's relationships with other Shape Knights! I love how weird Pickman is to all of them. I especially like Pickman's relationship with Alekest. Pickman slowly actually liking/trusting him is a delight, and it's so meaningful that he gave Pickman a gift and they can talk about Zevunzolia together. Pickman and Bucho are also great! Different energy, much more bro-vibes, and I love that for them.
I am so here for anything expanding on Pickman's time in Zevunzolia. Queer art communes! Friendship! Feeling ill at ease but also weirdly more relaxed? It's fascinating. Please tell me more about it. And about Pickman's relationship with art in general!
Solo: Chine (FatT)
The dissonance between Chine's intentional step away from typical "humanity" and the fact that he's the one who grew up in Blackwick fascinates me. What's it like to come home like this?
I'd love to see more about Cleavers in general through the lens of Chine! Anything about them is delightful! How does one become a Cleaver? Is it a choice actively made or something that just kinda starts happening?
Pre-canon interactions between Chine and Duvall would be super fun. Or anything at any time that focuses on different ways to be a step away from traditional relationships with bodies (compare/contrast/whatever with Duvall, Es, maybe even Hazard...?)
It! I love It! More about Chine's relationship with It and the struggles of parenthood when the being you're parenting is moderately eldritch and may one day become a god.
WB: Zevunzolia (FatT)
What is it like to live in Zevunzolia? From Pickman's epilogue, it seemed like any other city, and yet it's also a dream of perfection. Plus there's the fact that Pickman could travel to the edge of the city and look down upon Sangfielle, which is fascinating. How many people do that? Do they all see the same things?
Oh my god what happens with the shape train Pickman left there. What chaos and terror does it unleash?
I love that we saw so much of the queer art scene in Pickman's epilogue, and I'd love to see more of it! Pickman went out of her way to try not to care, but I care very much and would love expansions on any and all characters we met during that episode.
Alternately, tell me about the cults that construct Zevunzolia and how their work is manifest in the city itself! Or about how people travel to and from Zevunzolia! Or, really, anything about Zevunzolia that interests you! I'm fascinated by it! Which is, I think, the point. :)

WB: Building the Jiangzuo Alliance (NiF)
MCS built this, right? So how did he do that? How did he establish his reputation? What was it like for him to start from scratch? Or was it from scratch—did having Langya Hall's supposedly-impartial backing help? (And what is the relationship between Langya Hall and the Jiangzuo Alliance, anyway? Obviously their leaders are close, but how obvious is that to an outside perspective?)
WB: Langya Hall's Information Technology/Systems/Network (NiF)
We're shown that beautiful archive and the dovecotes and the systems of information request and delivery in the first episode and then never again. I would like more! I also know a lot of librarians and archivists and that definitely colors how I'm thinking about this whole thing. I'm also just curious about how Langya Hall even got made? How did they start handing out information? How do they gather (and store!) all their info? They must have a terrifying/impressive spy network! Tell me about it!
Solo: Mu Nihuang (NiF)
I would love to read something exploring her family! There's so much implied about how Mu Nihuang was a warrior princess/duchess and I would love to see some of that! I'd also love something set between Lin Shu's death and Mei Changsu's return, where Mu Nihuang gathers her power and keeps her dignity and refuses to marry anyone else.
Solo: Lin Chen (NiF)
Tell me more about Lin Chen's childhood; he's the young master of Langya Hall, and he has all the manners of gentry but he's clearly from the jianghu. What was that like, for him? Or tell me about what it's like to balance the obligations of Langya Hall with the work he's also doing for Mei Changsu, and what it's like to find a new balance post-canon.
Solo: Grand Princess Liyang (NiF)
I'd love to know more about her youth, especially the period of time when her marraige was being arranged and she was being courted by various families. Or her general feelings about Xie Yu, both before and after their forced marriage (specific note: I'd prefer not to see on-screen rape but I am fine with in-depth discussions of Liyang's feelings about that canonical experience). And then, after all that, I'd be super cool to hear about her figuring out how to deal with sharing her child and life with the Zhuo family. And, of course, there's the mystery of her relationship with Yuwen Lin! How it happened and how she kept the secret of Jingrui's parentage all those years. Lots of stuff to dig into during all those pre-canon years!
I'd also love to know about her place in the capital's social life. She's a princess! She's connected to the palace! She has a strange family situation! What's it like to host events? How's she looking for marriage psrospects for her son? Do people come to her in hopes that she'll be able to sway her husband or the emperor himself on an issue? (How does any of this change post-canon?)
Solo: Consort Jing (NiF)
I love her and her quiet strength and power, hidden behind a beautiful smile and a graceful sweep of her hand, because to make herself visible would be dangerous not just to herself but to Jingyan. I love how perceptive she is. I love how easily she inserts herself into the games of court.
I want to know her name.
I also, generally speaking, want to know who she was before she became Concubine (and then Consort) Jing! She had a whole life in the jianghu! She knew the Lins! She was a doctor! She had so many skills and then she became part of the imperial harem, and that's such a contrast in what she's doing with her life.
I'd love a look at her place in the harem, and harem politics in general! She has friends in there, and also rivals. She's not particularly high-ranking, but she's quite good at what she does, and her medical skills are well-known. She also absolutely has some sort of friendship/relationship with Gao Zhan (the Emperor's favored eunuch), and that fascinates me. Where did that come from? How does it manifest?
Or just anything about her relationship with Jingyan through the years! How did she protect him/care for him in his youth? You could explore how she helped him during his rise to power! Anything about her status after his ascension!
Mu Nihuang & Lin Chen (NiF)
I love seeing how Langya Hall interacts with the rest of the world, and Mu Nihuang is on the edge of the jianghu enough that they've probably interacted. Why did they interact? What do they think of each other? Or maybe Mu Nihuang goes to Langya Hall in search of information about the Chiyan Massacre. What does she learn? I also love how Lin Chen and Mu Nihuang love the same person but in different forms. What's it like for them to talk about the man they knew and reconcile the different lives they lived with him?
Yan Yujin & Marquis Yan Que (NiF)
The moment at which they reconcile is so important to me! The ways in which Yan Que realises he's been a shitty parent and starts making up for it delight me! I love how clever both of them are adnd I would love more about them learning how to work together and be a family.
Xiao Jingrui & Mei Changsu (NiF)
I'm particularly interested in the friendship they formed in the jianghu! How much time does Jingrui spend out there? How many feelings does Mei Changsu have (that definitely aren't Lin Shu's feelings) about seeing him growing up like this? How are all those simple feelings of friendship complicated by everything that happens once Mei Changsu comes to the city? (What does Jingrui think when he finally learns that Mei Changsu was once Lin Shu?)
Mei Changsu & Fei Liu (NiF)
Mei Changsu and his bodyguard/ward! How did they meet? Why does Fei Liu like and trust Mei Changsu so much? How do they take care of each other? (How does Mei Changsu prepare Fei Liu for the inevitable day when Mei Changsu isn't going to be there anymore?)
Lin Chen & Fei Liu (NiF)
This starts out very similar to the above, but with a different tone! Where was Lin Chen when Fei Liu arrived? Why do they aggravate each other so much? How do they come together when Mei Changsu is hurt? (What about after Mei Changsu dies?)
Lin Shu | Mei Changsu | Su Zhe/Meng Zhi (NiF)
Why does MCS like/trust him so much? Why, out of everyone in the capital, is Meng Zhi the one MCS goes to first and tells the truth to? I would adore to read the letters sent between them during the scheming leading up to Mei Changsu's arrival in the capital.
More generally, these two have great vibes for hurt/comfort and caretaking and Meng Zhi being strong where MCS cannot anymore. I also love how Meng Zhi is also very good and smart; it's just not in the scholarly schemey direction that MCS takes everything in.
Lin Chen/Mei Changsu (NiF)
Lin Shu | Mei Changsu | Su Zhe/Lin Chen (NiF)
This relationship is made of hurt/comfort. Emotional, physical, spiritual... if they can hurt themselves or each other in some way, they've probably done so somehow. Possibly even intentionally. Definitely just as a side-effect of two strong-willed people whose guiding tenants are pointed in related but notably distinct directions.
I love how smart they both are. I love how careful and clever they are and how they would've been a perfect match in both brain and body if they'd met before Lin Shu fell and nearly died. But they aren't! I'm fascinated by the period of time Mei Changsu spent recovering initially and the slide from a patient-doctor relationship into true friendship. I'm also fascinated by the moment when Lin Chen says that he never knew Lin Shu, and that he doesn't want to let Lin Shu take Mei Changsu to war and his own death. And by that Lin Chen goes with him anyway! Explore any of that tangle of emotions in any way and I will be delighted.
Mei Changsu/Mu Nihuang (NiF)
90% of my feelings about these two are wanting them to be happy. I honestly really adore the pining in canon, but like... god I just want them to be happy?
Let Mei Changsu live at the end of canon and then give me thousands of words about them getting married and settling down and being happy and I will be so delighted. Or a story about Mu Nihuang refusing to give up on Lin Shu and somehow finding him at Langya Hall years before he ever planned on making himself known in the political sphere. Or an extended pre-canon story about how they first got to know each other and what they thought about their marriage. Or a story about them raising kids and how much those kids would be the terrors of their generation!
Xiao Jingyan/Lin Shu/Mu Nihuang (NiF)
Childhood loves and adult complications! I'm so interested by what Xiao Jingyan's feelings actually are and how much he suppresses because he's such a dutiful son who shouldn't be interested in his best friend like that. Subtle things, quiet things, desires and indiscretions Jingyan allows himself for Mei Changsu while still thinking about Lin Shu and what he didn't let himself have then.
While Lin Shu is the node holding them together but also I'm sure Jingyan and Nihuang would find some kind of comfort in each other when he's gone. (I didn't outright request Jingyan/Nihuang this year but I would consider "Jingyan and Nihuang have feelings about their dead friend [and maybe have sex about Lin Shu]" to be a fill for this request and have enough Lin Shu in it to count!)
I'd love something in their childhood focusing on stolen pleasures and laughter and joy together. Or, in a more feelings-y direction, something about final encounters before partings and/or what it's like to come home to each other.
Consort Hui/Consort Jing (NiF)
They're two of the only people in the imperial harem we see actively supporting each other! I just think it'd be neat, and I love the idea of concubines helping each other out and also kissing. Anything about harem politics is great, too!
Mu Nihuang/Xia Dong (NiF)
I shipped them from the first time I saw them together and I haven't stopped yet. They're two women in politics whose status isn't about being married, and that matters to me! Plus, they have so much battle couple potential and I adore that. Anything about these two beautiful and brilliant women having emotions about/with each other would be wonderful! I love them both so much!
I'm also super into how they supported each other and maintained their friendship despite their very different relationships with the outcome of the Chiyan Massacre. I think they'd be fun to see do any casefic, but in particular I would love a story about the two of them going on a warpath to prove who is right about the Chiyan Army's "betrayal" and solving the whole plot before Lin Shu manages to get himself back into being a person again.

I love the expansive world, because we see what Normal People think of the Jiumen, and we also see the Wang family and what they're up to and believe. Plus, I really enjoy Wu Xie full-on taking on the enigmatic asshole mentor role with Li Cu.
For any request: I really want a daemon AU! The Wang family performing intercision? Being able to read snake venom changing your daemon into a snake? Things like that would be super neat to explore!

This fandom gives me a bunch of exceptions to my usual DNWs! They're generally "Knives can do whatever he wants" and "Age is complicated in this fandom so I'm not dealing", with a side of "more canon-typical fucked-up Knives and Vash interactions please". Here they are again:
* For my rape/noncon DNW: Knives can rape whoever you'd like.
* My DNWs around underage sex are waived for this fandom. Like, I'd appreciate if you don't have people who are physically babies have sex (I think I'd prefer people be physically like ~10ish at least?), but between Nai/Vash and Wolfwood's whole deal, I'm just going "...yeah whatever" at the whole thing...
* Knives and Vash's relationship, whatever it is, doesn't count for my "don't focus on abusive relationships" DNW. idk if I'd count it as abusive but it sure did hurt them both in ways I find fascinating.
Solo: Zazie the Beast (TriStamp)
I love them dearly; they're my favorite character in the show! I think that the avatar of worms probably doesn't have a normal human gender and thus takes they or it pronouns, but if you have some other worldbuilding headcanon I'm curious about that too.
I will be into literally anything exploring the worms and their place in this setting via Zazie as a character. I am fascinated by them as the native beings of this world and how they've been used and hunted by human colonists (even if the humans didn't want to be here either). There are so many kinds of worms! They have a hive mind? I guess? What's their society like? Their life cycle? How old is Zazie? Is Zazie a lasting persona or simply a convenient name for the current hivemind to use? What's Zazie's physiology like? What's worm physiology like?
What are the worms planning, anyway? Zazie says they want to know whether plants or humans would be more beneficial for them, so they know whose side to take in this conflict, but do the worms have any other goals of their own? I just want so much about them! How did they first meet Knives? How long have they known each other? Why did they start working alongside each other? Does Zazie wander around human towns too? Anything like that would be neat!
Solo: Plants (TriStamp)
This is mostly a worldbuilding prompt! What the fuck is up with plants? How do they work? What are the rules of their creation powers? How do they multiply? What's up with the human-shaped individuals like Vash and Knives? How did humans find/make/leash them to begin with? WTF do they want?
Discussions of how they're used by humans would also fit this prompt! How are cities/towns/ships built around them? How do they attempt to take care of the plants? How much knowledge was lost in the ships crashing? What is Knives up to with all the plants? Explore any of this, or anything else, and I'll be excited to hear your exploration and expansion of the world!
Solo: Vash the Stampede (TriStamp)
The thing about Vash that compels me is, essentially, that he's a paladin who thinks he doesn't deserve to be a paladin.
I love how young he manages to feel 90% of the time and how old he is as soon as you crack that facade. He's so tired and yet stubbornly optimistic. He's so deeply wounded and yet cares about the world enough to keep breaking his heart on it. He loves with the entirety of his being and it doesn't matter that he loves the very people who have hurt him because the love overrules all the pain.
For this solo prompt, I'm interested in his time wandering around. How did he gain the epithet "the Stampede" in this universe? How does he befriend loners? How often does he go back 'home' to the ship? How does he maintain his cybernetic parts? How fucked up and lonely is he, really? This is a lot about me wanting to see Vash during his long solo years, but also I just like him, so feel free to expand on any part of his character/worldbuilding!
Solo: Nicholas D. Wolfwood (TriStamp)
I enjoy contemplating how Wolfwood is a disillusioned knight looking for something like redemption/a new thing to believe in.
I am extremely interested in his backstory and the medical experimentation done on him. What was his training like? How long did it take? What's his relationship with the people who taught him? What are the magic drugs he uses? How fucked up is he because of them? How did he manage to keep any of his core kindness? How much does he believe that he's an awful person? How many people has he killed, and how much does he regret it?
Solo: Millions Knives (TriStamp)
I love him. He's terrible. I want to get inside his head and root around in there. What drove him to become who he is? Why did he take the name 'Millions Knives' instead of Nai? What's his relationshi with his plantship like? What's his relationship with his powers like? I truly just want any kind of character study of this guy and the choices he makes and the goals he has, because when I watched the show I was like "...this is the Magneto problem, where the 'bad guy' has a point but is evil because he's going to extremes about how to solve it". So. Y'know. Knives is terrible but he is right that the plants deserve to be more than slaves.
Millions Knives/Vash the Stampede (TriStamp)
it's just. canon. more please. They're fucked up and it's incestuous and I could easily see this happening literally any time once they've reached the human developmental equivalent of ~10 or so. (so like, y'know, by the time they crash the generation ships.) have fun go wild they're fucked up and devoted to each other even as they oppose each other, it's fantastic. I don't have a breeding kink but Knives sure does and I think Knives should get bred instead of just breeding other people.
Vash the Stampede/Nicholas D. Wolfwood (TriStamp)
Also canon! But differently. They see the best in each other, and accept the worst in each other, and look at each other as people despite all the fucked up things that have happened to their bodies (some consentually, some forced upon them), and they love each other because and despite everything that they are. That love could be any kind of love; it just matters that they find each other and care about each other and choose to save each other (because they can't save themselves, but they can save this other person and that might just be enough).
My favorite version of this would be intersex Vash and trans man Wolfwood. (look, if you're fed hormonal injections to make you into an adult and a murder machine, that's kind of like taking T, right?)
Millions Knives/Vash the Stampede/Zazie the Beast (TriStamp)
I Just Think It's Neat. Zazie should pollenate one or both of the twins. There should be some worm-plant hybrids in the world. idk. This is very much a sex-oriented prompt where I want xeno bullshit between the three of them, though I'd happily read something more romance/relationship-oriented if you have an idea! That sounds super cool! I like all three of them and they all have such interesting interactions!
Meryl Stryfe/Zazie the Beast (TriStamp)
Very fun! Zazie tries to get Meryl to explain/defend humans to them, and visits them again at the end of the season, and I just think that every interaction between them is fascinating. Definitely something where I went "what if I stick my favorite with the best woman in the show" and found a new rarepair. Anything you do to explore this will delight me, especially them challenging each other ethically and discussing cultural clash/social expectations.
Meryl Stryfe & Vash the Stampede (TriStamp)
Their friendship is great! I love how protective Vash is of Meryl, and how much Meryl believes in Vash, and how complicated that friendship can be and how important it is for both of them. It's a very different set-up point for post-July interactions than in either the manga or the first anime. So, interstitial interactions during canon or post-s1 things exploring what it's like when they meet again! Either or both would be neat!

Chinese Republican Era Vampire Lady/Chinese Republican Era Hulijing (F/F) (OW)
This is just so aesthetic, holy shit. I love the Chinese Republican Era for the sheer amount of cultures mixing and mingling, especially around Shanghai (though you're of course welcome to set this anywhere in China), and that makes it a wonderful setting for urban fantasy stories! How are hulijing adapting to the rapidly changing world? Are vampires even native to China? Were non-human beings integrated into society before this? Is this a setting where the supernatural is a secret, or is it well-known? Or is it one of those things that's now seen as a cultural relic or something like that?
I'd love so many things with this pairing. Established relationship where it's them against the world. Meet-cute/meet-ugly where they slowly romance each other. Enemies-to-lovers where they bicker and fight and are still drawn together. Sex-before-love where they're mad about catching feelings. Tell me about how they fit into their world! Tell me about what they do and how they interact with each other, supernatural society, and the mundane public!
I will admit that most of the Republican Era media that I've consumed leans heavily into spies and detective fiction. I do love that genre, and I would be delighted by a mystery/noir-leaning story with these characaters! However, feel free to go beyond that: the Republican Era overlaps with jazz halls, for instance, and with plenty of wars, and there's a ton of fodder for stories of many tones and genres.
Exiled Princess/Dragonborn Knight (F/F) (OW)
When I read "dragonborn" I do think of someone who is somehow part-dragon. I'm happy for you to read this as "dragon scaley", but if you're interested in a particular lore explanation I'm fond of, D&D 3.5 has a cool set of lore ('dragonborn' are people of any originating species who actively chose to be reborn as draconic versions of their former selves). But hey, this is original work! Feel free to do what you'd like! I just like dragons and dragon-people!
Why was the Princess exiled? Was there a coup? Did she do something horrific? Did she refuse to marry someone? Did she offend a visiting dignitary? Something else entirely? There's so much backstory potential here!
Did the Princess and the Knight know each other before the exile? Did the Knight follow the Princess into exile? Or did the Knight run across the Princess and choose to stay with her later? How did they meet, if so?
This is a ship where I love fealty kink in particular! I also prefer that the Princess not just be a damsel in distress; let her have agency and do neat things, even if she does fuck up and even if the Knight does need to rescue her from physical danger.
I am also extremely into the potential for sensation play (scales feel neat!) and xeno-adjacent sexy times (dragon dicks can look like anything!), if you're more into writing sex!
Female Dragon Who's Captured a Young Royal/Young Female Royal (F/F) (OW)
This is something where I'd love dragonfucking. I'm happy to lean into size difference things (dragon tongue filling the woman's cunt, the woman's arm easily fitting into the dragon's cunt, etc.), shenanigans about alternate erogenous zones (horns and wings), or the dragon being a shapeshifter (who retains some dragon-y characteristics even while in a more humanoid form).
I'm fine with less-than-consensual dragonfucking, considering this whole set-up, but I'd like for both participants to find it enjoyable. It's easy to imagine the xcon being the dragon fucking the woman (drug her somehow, coerce consent via size/danger, etc), but I'm also fascinated by the idea of the woman xconning the dragon (fucking a sleeping dragon? having her own magic to capture the dragon's attention?). Or maybe the whole thing is a CNC scenario! I'm more into dubcon than noncon, but I'm pretty sure some of these prompted scenarios might read as noncon to other people; they're all things I'm fine with.
If you aren't into dragonfucking, I'd also be into worldbuilding around the relationship between dragons and royalty! Why did the dragon capture this young royal? Are dragons common? Does this happen often? Is this a dragon's way of initiating diplomatic proceedings? Is this a marriage rite of some sort? Do the royalty of this area know they need to have extra children in the royal line so that one can be sacrificed to the local dragon? Have fun exploring the possibilities!
In general, though, I'd prefer that the young royal be well taken care of by the dragon and not feel like her life is in danger (unless it's sexy for her to be afraid).
Magical Girl/Member of the Enemy Faction Getting Redeemed (OW)
The member of the enemy faction doesn't need to be a girl but this trope is still yuri so it's in this section.
I love magical girl tropes! They're super fun! Feel free to pull from classic magical girl media (Sailor Moon, etc), "dark" magical girl media (Madoka, etc.), or other weird magical girl media (Utena, etc); it's all interesting! I'd also love magical girls in mechs! Magical girls can be anything, after all!
I'm as curious about the faction the magical girls are opposing as by the person being redeemed! What are they fighting against? How are they related in their non-magical lives? How dramatic is this whole thing? How did the member defect/get pulled away from their faction? Did they have a change of heart? Did they realise that they couldn't bear to hurt a magical girl? Did a spell break and free them? Do they ever struggle with the magical girls' moral/ethical code versus their original faction's?
There are all sorts of fun possibilties for this relationship dynamic, too! Enemies-to-allies-to-lovers is obvious, as is rivals-to-lovers, but what about things like "we were dating in our mundane identities and then realised we were on opposite magical sides"? Or "we recently reawakened memories of a past life where we were beloveds"? Or "I never thought about you like that until someone threw us into an AU where we were dating"? Play around with it! Do whatever magical girl shenanigans you think are fun!
Noblewoman Whose Hand Can Be Won in Marriage/Female Knight Fighting to Marry Her (OW)
I love the chivalric tropes this invokes! And fight scenes! And women disguised as men and then a dramatic reveal of them being women! But you don't gotta do dramatic gender-hiding things; this could be a world where female knights are common and accepted!
I'm curious about why the noblewoman's hand can be won like this! Is this normal? Is she doing this to save her family somehow? Is this a last-ditch way to get out of a worse marriage? Is this the only way she thinks she can marry her knight lover? Or did the knight not even know her until she won the noblewoman's hand? Lots of possibilites!

Exiled Prince in Disguise/Prince of Enemy Country Who's Unwittingly Befriended Him (OW)
What has made these countries enemies? What sent the one prince into exile? Did they meet in a third country, or did the exiled prince for some reason end up in the country of his enemy? How did they meet? (A rescue? Both of them got lost in the same place? Divine happenstance? Something else entirely?)
This is a prompt where I'm extremely into slow burn and identity porn! If you're worried that it's too slow: nah it's fine I'm into it. :3 If you don't wanna write something slow, the moment of identity reveal would be a good focal point: Is it before or after they realise they're into each other? Does the reveal change their feelings? Do either of them feel like it should?
Supernatural Private Detective/Mundane Private Detective Working Same Case (M/M) (OW)
I love casefic so much. Is this a world where the supernatural is a known entity, or is the existence of the supernatural a revelation to the mundane detective? Both are fun; they just have different vibes! I'd particularly love something where these two detectives have different styles and focuses and can provide each other with support as they take different routes to the same conclusion—or open up avenues of investigation otherwise impossible for each other!
Scholar of ancient history/Scholar in enemy land with whom they correspond (M/M) (OW)
I love academic papers, I love epistolary, I love history, and I love academic rivalries blossoming into something more. Or academic friendships! What is more romantic than finally finding the one other person who is obsessed with your area of study and needing to go "fuck it I don't care that you're from my country's enemy; you're the only one who understands my papers." Anything that plays with any of this would be delightful!
Mage Adventurer/His Long-Time Rival Who Has Recently Joined the Same Adventure Party (OW)
The rival doesn't need to be male; this is just up here because it was easier to categorise.
I love adventures! What are they exploring? Why are they exploring? How many weird quests are going on? Why did the rival join this party; are their skills needed, or were they just bored?
Truly anything with magic and rivalry shenanigans will delight me. I don't think "rival" and "lover" are opposed in any way, either.
Fighter Pilot/Mechanic Who Works On His Plane (M/M) (OW)
Please feel free to make this about spaceships and/or mecha instead of/as well as more typical fighter planes! Any era that involves fighter pilots is fine but please don't outright set your work in WW2.
The intimacy of working on the machine that needs someone else to make it go. Trusting your life to the work of another's hands. Caring as much about the person as their vehicle and hoping they'll both make it back unscathed. Lots of good h/c potential here!
Any/Any
Hard-Working Introverted Professor of Magic/Outgoing & Successful Academic Rival (OW)
Murder Victim Returning as Monster/Their Monster Hunter Lover (OW)
Space Smuggler/Space Wizard On the Run (OW)
Inexperienced Wizard Trying To Summon a Dragon/Starfighter Pilot Who Flew Through a Space Hole (OW)
Hard-Working Introverted Professor of Magic/Outgoing & Successful Academic Rival (OW) I think it'd be very funny to see an outsider POV on this that shows the study body slowly realising that these Rival Professors are also married and have been forever. I also think it'd be fun to see this entirely through papers and found documents about their irritation and growing fondness for each other! But really, anything about what these two are like and how they push each other to deeper studies and more profound results (individually or together) would be lovely! Murder Victim Returning as Monster/Their Monster Hunter Lover (OW) Did they know that their lover was a monster hunter? Or did they discover that when their lover came hunting them in this new(ly revealed) form? Do they team up against the murderer? Is it very sad and angsty because the hunter only realised who the monster was as they were once more dying? How common/well-known are monsters in this world, anyway? How about monster hunters? Are they organized or are they called or chosen or... what? I look at this ship and assume it's playing with modern urban fantasy tropes/assumptions but hey if you want to take it into high fantasy or eldritch horror or space opera, I'd be down for that too! Space Smuggler/Space Wizard On the Run (OW) What does the smuggler usually smuggle? Do they have a team? Do they want to help the wizard? Are they working the same job, or smuggling the wizard, or something else? How do they run into each other? How much chaos is caused by smuggling trouble smashing into wizard trouble? Please have fun with this ship! I love all the trope possibilities! Inexperienced Wizard Trying To Summon a Dragon/Starfighter Pilot Who Flew Through a Space Hole (OW) There's so much worldbuilding potential here! Please feel free to pull from both high fantasy and space opera tropes! I love both genres and I'm extremely excited about smashing them together. How do magic and technology interact? Do they hamper each other, or do they simply run along such different logics that they don't care about each other at all? Is this a world where magic is a science, or one where magic is made of wonders? Is this a world where spaceships are literally dragons (or made of the bones/hearts/skins of dragons) or where spaceships are highly engineered plastic and metal contraptions? Give me as much worldbuilding as you'd like to do! I love it very much! Why was the wizard trying to summon a dragon? Was this a graduation requirement from wizard university, or a spur-of-the-moment revenge plan, or just a "fuck you!" spite-fueled way to try and show off? Did they mean to summon something giant, or were they looking for something more like a fire lizard (as a familiar, perhaps)? Have they ever successfully summoned a dragon before? Or, honestly, anything? Like, how big of a mistake was this? Was this a ritual they found in a dusty old book and had to partially reconstruct (and made errors with), or some standard spell that really should work properly except they fucked up somewhere? How big is this starship, anyway? Is this a single-person scout vehicle, or a massive starliner? I admit, I first imagined the latter, because I think a whole Enterprise-sized starship showing up suddenly forces a lot more cultural interchange, but a "dragon" being a class of starfighter would also make sense. Can this starship even fly in atmosphere? Does it crash? If so, how much hurt/comfort is there as the wizard goes "OH SHIT OH SHIT" and tries to figure out wtf happened and help the pilot out? I love seeing people trying to understand each other across cultures and languages. I know that both sci-fi and fantasy have ways of solving the "we can't speak each other's language" problem, but I would love for that to be acknowledged—or for there to be an interesting worldbuilding reason why they do speak the same lanuage! But really, I'm just super excited about all the potential culture clashes that come from a starfaring pilot and a wizard trying to understand each other (and falling in love along the way). I'd love for both the Pilot and the Wizard to have communities they're thinking about/interacting with outside of each other (which is also part of why I was thinking about a bigger starship; a shuttle would have a crew, at least). Especially when there's so much worldbuilding potential in an OW ship, I really don't need the romance to be highlighted/central; I'd rather see the world built around them and have the relationship be just one thread of many.[Click Here!] Prompts Under The Cut
Magic academia! :D Please tell me about magic academia! What are the fields of study? What are the specalisations? What are academic papers like/about? What sorts of things do mages have rivalries about? What makes one a successful academic mage? I truly deeply enjoy deep dives into all of this.
I am extremely here for gore and body horror in this particular ship! Just, man, how did they die? Did a monster kill them, or did they come back as a monster for some other reason? Were they always a monster, just hiding in a human suit, and the murder/their death freed them from that prison? Did they come back to hunt their murderer? Truly, what's up with that?
Please tell me about space wizards and space magic and how all that works; I love fantasy but in space! :D And tell me about what the wizard is running from! Did they break the law? (Is magic illegal? Or highly regulated? Or is it more mundane law-breaking?) Did they offend someone powerful? (Because of magic or because of lack of social skills or for doing something good that the person was against because they're a dick?) Did they run out of money and need to skip town to pay debts? Something else entirely?
I make eyes at this because I love it when magic and technology coexist! This gives me a ton of questions, beginning with "has the wizard ever seen a starship before?", "has the pilot ever met a wizard before?", and "do dragons = starships?" and continuing from there.
Gen and Solo
Heretical Cultivator & His Adopted Child & Orthodox Cultivators Who Disapprove (OW)
Newly superpowered unwilling hero & Would-be mentor who feels they should be trained (OW)
Rookie Superhero Struggling to Control His Powers & Experienced Supervillain who Worries (OW)
Superhero fighting evil alternate version of self & Supervillain they ask to help (OW)
Solo: Superhero with powers better suited for a villain (OW)
Solo: Unwilling Superhero Who Just Wants a Quiet Life (OW)
Is this all superheroes? Yes. Superheroes are fun! these tropes are juicy! (And, y'know, what are cultivators but the superheroes of the jianghu?)
Some general things I like about superheroes/worldbuilding questions to ask about them:
Cool powers! Where do they come from? How do they work? How common are they? Are there multiple kinds of powers? How easily hidden are they? How formalised is superhero work? Is it independent or government-organized? Is it possible to hide your powers? Is it seen as "being a failure" to have superpowers but not use them for The Good of Society or whatever?
Technology being on-par with magic! I love when superheroes go to space, or come from space, or when aliens show up, and all that kind of stuff. What relationship does Earth have to space? How much money is needed to fund tech-based heroes, and how do they acquire that money? How common is it to have mundane people use technology to go toe-to-toe with superpowered people?
Teams! I love superteams! I love teamwork! I love mentorship! How are superheroes found? How are teams formed? What are communities of superheroes like? How are they organized? How do they teach each other? Are there types of powers that are more common, or lineages or superheroes, or anything like that, which are easier to teach/learn? Are there powers nobody has ever seen before and nobody knows how to explain/explore?
Heretical Cultivator & His Adopted Child & Orthodox Cultivators Who Disapprove (OW)
What do the orthodox cultivators disapprove of? The adopted kid learning a heretical path? I'm assuming that the heretical cultivator saved the kid somehow, which was probably a failing of the orthodox cultivators somehow; that's how this kind of trope usually goes. I'm happy to see a different take on it, though!
I think this'd be fun as something about the orthodox cultivators getting into ethical/moral arguments with the heretical cultivator about their different paths. I also think it'd be fun to see them continuing to cross paths in the jianghu and have the orthodox cultivators keep attempting to teach the kid enough of their own path to convince the kid to ditch the heretical cultivator, only to have it never work and the kid just become a super good martial artist because of learning all these styles. Or have an orthodox cultivator get annoyed enough to keep following the heretical cultivator around and have them end up in a platonic co-parenting situation! The world (or jianghu, at least) is your oyster.
Newly superpowered unwilling hero & Would-be mentor who feels they should be trained (OW)
How did the new hero get their powers? How did the mentor come across them? Why are they so insistent that the new hero get trained despite them not wanting to? How easy is it for the new hero to control their powers? How similar are the mentor and new hero's abilities? Is the point to train them to be a superhero or is the goal just to ensure they know how to not fuck things/people up with their powers? (Do they become a superhero by accident anyway?)
Rookie Superhero Struggling to Control His Powers & Experienced Supervillain who Worries (OW)
Is the rookie supposed to be mentored by someone? Is the supervillian attempting to teach them even as they face off? I love the idea of the supervillain declaring themself the rookie's nemesis purely to ensure that none of the crueler supervillains start picking on the rookie. Does the supervillain start doing more villainy directed at the rookie's supposed mentors just to blow off steam and point out how bad they're doing teaching the rookie?
Superhero fighting evil alternate version of self & Supervillain they ask to help (OW)
This is such a fun form of "the person who knows you best is your worst enemy"! Some more questions: Is the evil version of the hero pretending to be the hero? Does the supervillain know the difference between the two versions better than the hero's supposed allies? How different are the two versions, really? How much do the supervillain's plans to take down their hero nemesis rely on knowing this version of the hero in particular?
Solo: Superhero with powers better suited for a villain (OW)
What makes a power 'better suited' to be villanous? (Excepting, like, mind control, the power I DNW.) How much does this hero need to fight against public perception to be seen as a hero even while doing heroic acts? Were they ever tempted to be a villain anyway? Do they advocate for less strict binaries about power classifications? Is their nemesis a villain with powers 'better suited' for a hero?
Solo: Unwilling Superhero Who Just Wants a Quiet Life (OW)
I love the idea of a superhero who keeps attempting to not be a hero and yet gets dragged out anyway. Why do they keep fighting? Who keeps dragging them into this? How depressed are they? What's their power? Did they ever want to be a hero? How many cover identities do they have, and how well do they work?
Feel free to use any gender(s) for characters in prompts without built-in genders! I love f/f, m/f, m/m, and anything with nonbinary characters. I'm extremely fond of seeing trans characters (especially trans men!) and he/him butch lesbians. I'm down for neopronouns if they fit the setting. I love seeing platonic relationships and queerplatonic relationships between any/all people.
I like science fiction and fantasy settings a lot! Historical settings are great too, but I tend to like having some spec-fic element in there. The biggest exception to my "put spec-fic stuff in!" preference is spies, detectives, and mystery prompts, where I'm absolutely fine with the general spy/detective tropes being the spec-fic element.
I also love space fantasy, fantastical science fiction, and anything else that blurs the edges between genres. Horror is great for this too! I'm particularly fond of things like “Here is a world with gods, but hey we’re in space; put science fiction trappings on this fantasy-typical conceit” and “Hello I am a robot in a fantasy world, deal with it”, as well as "This fantasy-looking setting is actually sci-fi! Dragons are aliens! :D".
My fondness for superheroes, similarly to my fondness for spies/detectives, comes from seeing people take common tropes and play with them. Lean into those tropes! Twist them! Subvert them! They're good tropes for a reason!
I like minor magics/subtle things at least as much as giant world-changing magics. Honestly, I just like seeing magic as technology or technology as magic—show me how these different ways of interacting with the world are integrated into everyday lives (or how they aren't but could be and ordinary people get annoyed about it) and I'll be very happy.
I love weird god shit. I'm equally cool with vast unknowable deities and with really mundane "we're people but with a ton of power" kinds of gods. I love gods of very specific domains, and I love people yelling at gods for not being good enough.
My love of loyalty kink and hierarchy and competence porn comes out in my love for both noble+bodyguard kinds of things and military specfic. I really like seeing women rescue themselves and each other, too.
Please feel free to use anywhere you want as your setting or the inspiration for your setting! The Middle East and the Amazon and Oceania and the Arctic Circle and Thailand and the Serengeti are all just as cool (and honestly more interesting due to rarity than) European-based settings. I have a fondness for natural settings, but I also love reading about solarpunk cities and sci-fi space stations and fantasy castles.
A lot of prompts are read as assuming baseline humans unless stated otherwise. That's fine. However, I'm also happy to see you take these prompts and write about non-human characters! I'm delighted to receive gifts about dragons and elves and angels and shapechangers and aliens and all sorts of peoples! I like xeno and furries and exporations of how non-human bodies interact differently with the world than human bodies do, so feel free to incorporate that into anything you create.
