Thank you for creating for me! I’m so excited to see what you choose to make!
Some of these sections are going to be longer than others. That just means that I have thought more about some of these requests than others, or that I have more coherent thoughts about some of them. I like all these requests! If I didn't, I wouldn't be asking for potentially 10k of them!
You are also welcome to ignore any specific prompts I made and use all my likes/general thoughts as your starting point! All the words I’ve written here are for inspiration only; I’m sure I’m going to love whatever you come up with—especially if you're enthusiastic about your idea.
All of my FFFX requests may be filled by any of the following:
Treats are also always welcome.
So long as you show characters caring about each other, I'm not going to think "that wasn't shippy enough for a / relationship" or "that was too shippy for an & relationship" or anything like that! I am not too concerned about the specifics of what characters feel about each other; I'm just here to point at characters and go "wow they have feelings about each other!" and I will enjoy seeing how you interpret that! I'll give ideas, of course, but those are just starting points.
I enjoy non-romantic sexual relationships, non-sexual romantic relationships, and kink-focused relationships where sex/romance is irrelevant. I also adore gen relationships and queerplatonic relationships! Show me platonic intimacy, mixed-orientation relationships, lavender marriages/beard relationships, and any other not-exactly-normative relationship you'd like.
I love stories where romantic/sexual relationships aren't centered, and I love relationships (of any sort!) that are a steady background presence without needing to be made a big deal of, and I adore it when it's difficult for an outside observer (including the reader!) to tell what form a relationship takes (beyond "they care about each other"). See also: I love established relationships and characters being so certain in their relationship that they don't need to express it in any obvious fashion anymore because they know it's so steady.
I am also happy to see characters having had past relationships, multiple overlapping ship requests getting combined into a polycule, and original characters being created for any purpose that suits your work. Non-requested characters can also have whatever relationships (/ or & or otherwise) suit your work!
I am happy to see ANY character I request be trans. If you're concerned that the specific trans thing you're doing might not be wanted, check through the mods, but I'm pretty certain I'll respond with "oooh YES!" :)
Easy version, though: Keep their gender but make them trans that gender! Or declare them nonbinary, with their canon gender being their asab, and use they/them pronouns for them. Then change as much or as little of their presentation makes sense to you! (presentation =/= gender, after all...)
I like characters being casually trans without the story being About Their Transness. (If it's "okay let's talk about how to have good sex and your transness impacts that", or similar things, that's fine, the point is the sex in that case.) I'm not particularly interested in dysphoria being central to a trans character's experience, but I'm fine with it existing so long as your work doesn't linger in it.
On that note: Include as much/little medical transition as you're interested in! (I'm especially here for seeing bottom surgery of any sort! or only one of hormones/surgery!) Use the words for body features (inc. genitalia) that make sense to you for the character(s) you're writing, but when in doubt err on the side of the words be gender-affirming or clinically descriptive. When writing nsfw, I am fine with penetrative sex (and want to see it for post-surgery trans characters!), and also all my general nsfw likes/dnws apply.
Pronoun-wise, I really love seeing characters use multiple names and pronoun sets, especially when they use different names/pronouns in different contexts/with different people! (I also do not require trans characters to have deadnames. tbh I like it when they don't?) I'm also fine with neopronouns in settings/contexts where they make sense (preferences: ey/em/eir, ve/ver, xie/xir and variations).
ART NOTES: Yes all of the above still applies, yes I want to see surgical scars (especially keyhole/periareolar top surgery!), yes I am here for trans characters having sex, yes I like seeing any amount/stage of transition, yes I'm here for trans characters whose transness is only visible via an author's note saying "btw they're trans"

Fandom-Specific DNW:
I do not want Kel to be in a romantic or sexual relationship in this story. Other relationships are welcome! (I love Raoul/Buri and wish we'd seen more of them; Neal/Shinko is also cute.)
I love Kel. She's one of my favorite of Tamora Pierce's protagonists, and I reread her books periodically as comfort text. I love her for being sensible, stubborn, and aggressively compassionate. She's an amazing teacher and a brilliant leader, and she refuses to give up on people if there's any chance she can win. Those aspects are what I'd love to see brought out in a story, no matter what the story ends up being.
I would love some post-canon stuff about her life as a lady knight! Whether she's a commander in the King's Own or becomes Page-Master, I'd love to see how she goes about protecting Tortall and bringing about social changes.
If you go the route of her being commander of the King's Own, I'm interested in the aspects that mostly got glossed over during Squire: The way the King's Own does rebuilding work and disaster management in general. I'd love to see that, whether an extended missing-scene from Squire or as something Kel's leading in her own right. I would also be interested to see how the King's Own, under Kel's leadership (or Raoul's, with Kel's imput), integrates more people from other cultures—Yamani, for instance, but also anywhere else that Tortall is on good terms with—in an extension of how Raoul brought the Bazhir in.
I honestly love strategy and tactics and would be happy to read about Kel leading people in combat at any scale. Whether that's pages in the chalk-combat battles, a squad of the King's Own as a squire, or her own people later in life, Kel's a great commander and I'd love to see more of that. Or some of the late-night tactics/strategy discussions that we're told she and Raoul and various others participated in over Midwinter that one year and no doubt did at other times too!
Kel as page-master would be great, because she's a wonderful teacher and her being page-master shows that a bunch of social progress has been made. I'd love to see the ways she'd shut down any remaining culture of bullying among the pages, and what page training looks like when girls are fully integrated into the cohorts. Would pages under Kel have the option of broadening their horizons by learning naginata? What is it like to suddenly be living full-time in the capital again? What sort of summer camping trip would she take the pages on? How much does she worry about them when they take their end-of-year trials? We're told Neal's daughter becomes a page/knight at some point; what if Kel's the teacher? How does that feel?
Or, if you want something way more canon-divergent: Kel as the protagonist in a sports tournament AU. No preference for modern/fantasy/sci-fi/whatever. I just want Kel proving herself in a sports tournament and going from the underdog to the champion (just as she did in canon). Naginata would be absolutely fantastic if you know about it! But if not, maybe it's a jousting tournament, or swordplay, or something else; just something where she can prove her skill. Neal as the best friend who gets her into it? Raoul as her coach? Alanna as the previous generation's star she's hoping to emulate? It works out pretty well! (Plus, I really like the kind of fight-related minutia that this kind of arc tends to dig into.)
Requests
Note: my "teacher/student relationships" DNW is waived for stories involving WWX and/or LWJ mentoring MXY before they get together in a romantic/sexual way. Please don't kink on the teacher/student dynamic, though.
I mostly prefer MDZS to CQL because I read it first. Feel free to blend versions (I know them all), but here are the elements of MDZS-the-novel which I really care about:
1. WWX creating modao (+lack of yin iron)
2. the timeline
3. gray morality
If you look at this set of requests like "wow, you're really into Mo Xuanyu right now" you would be correct! :D
I'd love a story that gives Mo Xuanyu life of his own. He's a textual ghost in canon; what's it like when the spotlight turns directly upon him?
I'm especially interested in the period of time when MXY studied at Jinlin Tai. He was taken from one shitty family and given the promise of a more powerful (and hopefully better) family, only to have that turned against him. We're only told rumours of what it was like for MXY; what's the truth? What did that period of time actually look like, when it's not tainted by people actively attempting to make MXY look bad?
MXY also doesn't have the Jin name. Did he ever have it? Was he, even for a brief time, Jin Ziyu? Was it stripped from him when he got kicked out? Or was that something he was only promised he'd get when he finished training as a Jin disciple? Do you have another idea? Definitely something else you could explore!
I'm also interested in anything exploring how MXY got hold of the forbidden sacrifice ritual to begin with. Did he find it himself? (If so: Did he have access to JGY's secret treasure room? Did he have access to locked Lanling Jin archives? Was it mouldering away somewhere else?) Did NHS give it to him? (If so: How did NHS and MXY get acquainted? Did MXY know NHS gave it to him? How did MXY even know what it would do?) Is there some other explanation you're more interested in?
I think that MXY is very easy to read as queer and having gender feelings. I'm happy for you to explore those. The more you can relate it to actual historical Chinese ideas about gender and queerness, the more delighted I'll be.
What if MXY summons WWX as a ghost? Or otherwise brings WWX back from the dead in a way that doesn't require MXY to die as well. Then they could have a really interesting friendship! They're practically age-peers, if you only count the years WWX was Actually Alive, and would have a lot of interesting life experiences to compare.
If WWX is a ghost, I love the idea of WWX being capable of body-sharing with MXY when he wants to physically interact with the world. Alternately, maybe the summoning works as in canon except that MXY's soul is also there, and so they'd be two people in one body to begin with! Anything exploring the consequences and logistics of said body-sharing would be awesome.
WWX loves teaching, and MXY would be a great student for him. I think the idea of WWX and MXY wandering around being the local helpful demonic(?) cultivators is hilarious and a great set-up for casefic. Or for something about them studying magic together! WWX is a nerd in general, and MXY has to have some interest and ability to have successfully used such taboo magic to bring WWX back. Discussions of ethics and morality and what's acceptable divergences from the orthodox canon of cultivation sound great!
If you go for a body-sharing story, I think it's super interesting for at least one of MXY or WWX to be trans. Two people having different body/gender feelings about the same form is just neat! (If you aren't comfortable writing gender/trans stuff, that's totally fair; I just wanna mention that I'm interested in this!)
Lan Wangji & Mo Xuanyu | Lan Wangji/Mo Xuanyu
I am gong to go off one one specific thing that I am deeply fascinated about the possibilities of, which will hopefully help you see the Vibes (tm) of what I'm after with this relationship! If you've got other ideas exploring this relationship, I am extremely here for them too! (LWJ and MXY meeting because of NHS? LWJ and MXY only meeting when they do in canon and having a WWX-based relationship? LWJ saving child!MXY during a Night Hunt and then meeting him again later? Lots of possibilities! But here is one big one that keeps eating my mind.)
What if LWJ takes MXY as a disciple after MXY is kicked out of Jinlin Tai? I love mentorship stories, and I think that MXY and LWJ are both in pretty bad places at a similar time (LWJ just post-seclusion, MXY post getting kicked out) but could help each other build themselves back up.
I know there's often people who think about how MXY might remind LWJ of WWX, and that's fair. However, I'm more interested by how WWX standing up for the Wen Remnants might have inspired LWJ to "go where the chaos is" and look out for people nobody else is protecting. MXY, in this context, is exactly the kind of person LWJ would scoop up and protect: a young person kicked out of Jinlin Tai for unsubstantiated rumours, with a lot of talent and a home that doesn't nurture him. Of course LWJ might take him in!
MXY, for his part, would of course imprint on LWJ as an older brother and mentor figure. LWJ might not be a great teacher at first, but he's trying, and he's absolutely going to take care of MXY as best he can. MXY also likely knows more practical things about the world than LWJ; for all that MXY was raised in a powerful town family, it's still a town family and not a cultivator family, so MXY is more aware of how the common person views cultivators and can bridge the gap between LWJ and those he wants to help.
People would no doubt figure out that LWJ's disciple/companion is The Jin Bastard Who Was Kicked Out For (rumoured) Homosexual Harrassment. What does that do to their reputations? Does it make people question whether MXY was really in the wrong? Does it make people think less of LWJ? Something else entirely?
Overall, I'd just love a story about them learning about each other and wandering the jianghu helping people. (Or maybe something about LWJ bringing MXY back to the Cloud Recesses to meet the rest of his family and also A-Yuan! MXY as A-Yuan's gege sounds really cute too.)
Basically: mentorship feelings, with a side of chosen family if you'd like.
Lan Wangji/Mo Xuanyu/Wei Wuxian or Lan Wangji & Mo Xuanyu & Wei Wuxian
Feel free to take inspiration from the MXY &/ LWJ and MXY &/ WWX sections for how to set this up! And while I'm focusing more on the / than the & here, I do love the & just as much and want you to take any of these ideas in the & direction too.
I think that a get-together between MXY, LWJ, and WWX would be great because it's so easy for it to turn into pining from literally any orientation and I love every way that could go.
WWX/LWJ with pining MXY is classic, of course. The idea that things happen more or less as in canon but MXY is Also There adds a layer of amusing complication, especially since MXY would be like "oh shit they're so in love" way before WWX realises it and thus before anything happens, so it'd likely be a surprise to MXY when WWX and/or LWJ turns to him and goes "want to join us?"
MXY/LWJ while WWX suddenly realises his feelings? This is easiest if MXY and LWJ have already been together in some form before they bring WWX back, of course, but it can also work even if LWJ and MXY only meet when they do in canon. I'd find it super neat if this happens because MXY confesses to LWJ first and LWJ is like "oh!" and reciprocates, and now WWX is stuck watching/experiencing this and trying to figure out if his feelings for LWJ are emotional bleed or what.
MXY/WWX while LWJ desperately convinces himself he's not jealous? The idea of being in a relationship with someone you're bound to, body and/or soul, is great! How do MXY and WWX balance that relationship? How could LWJ ever break into this relationship, when they're so obviously intimate to begin with? But, fortunately for LWJ, MXY and WWX do also like him; someone just needs to realise that Saying Words About Feelings is helpful.
Of course, if you have some other ideas, that's awesome too! I'd also be extremely here for established relationship casefic, if that's more your jam than slow-burn pining. Love me some casefic!
Requests
Qin Su/Lan Qiren
I created this rarepair and now I crave more of it xD Feel free to remix my fic! Or do something entirely your own!
I like that they're both gentle and noble people. I think they could relax with each other. I think they could take burdens from each other. I think that Lan Qiren is not actually that old and that Qin Su is very skilled in womanly arts (not an innuendo!) and clearly was good at organizing Jinlintai and can do the same for the Cloud Recesses.
Lan Qiren is an escape from the Jin for Qin Su, but Qin Su is someone Lan Qiren likely never would've looked at without someone bringing her to his attention. Who did that? Was it some Lan elder saying that with the war here and the Twin Jades on the front lines, Lan Qiren needs to marry in case the Gusu Lan need a different heir? Was it Lan Xichen introducing the woman Jin Guangyao is sweet on? Was it Qin Su herself, looking for a respectable match?
Qin Su's life seemed to be pretty normal for a noble cultivator lady until Jin Guangyao made it weird. I'm absolutely fine with Qin Su/Meng Yao having been a past relationship, up to and including Qin Su's pregnancy, but for this I'd rather Qin Su not be cheating on Jin Guangyao with Lan Qiren. I don't think Lan Qiren would be okay with that, anyway.
I'd particularly love a story that focuses on the mundane and everyday elements of keeping a sect running, or of hosting a party/cultivation conference, or something else along those lines! Just, the two of them being very good at planning for the future and dealing with problems before they become noticed and ensuring that everything goes smoothly and well! A very specific kind of competence porn!
I'd also adore established relationship fic that handwaves how they got together and shows them having a family! I fully believe they'd have at least one child, likely multiple! What's it like to raise them? What are the family dynamics between these children and any other children of their generation? I love kidfic of this sort and would really enjoy seeing it!
Qin Su/Wen Xu
I saw this in the tagset and went :eyes: oh interesting. Did Wen Xu have his eye on Qin Su befor the war? Did Qin Su get captured for other reasons and then Wen Xu rescued her? Did he decide to salvage her honor by taking her as a concubine? Did he marry her properly? Did she get captured later in the war, so that Wen Xu saw Meng Yao mooning over her and stole her from him? Something else? I'm honestly so curious what your thoughts about this pairing are if you're thinking of creating for it! Show me your vision!
I love character studies and making side/tertiary characters more complex and well-developed than they are in canon. I want Wen Xu to be a person, however flawed, and not a one-note villain. He can be a romantic anti-hero! He can do terrible things! But I'd like for there to be good in him too, and things that Qin Su can love. And I'd love for Qin Su to have agency in her own life, whatever that looks like, and to be making decisions about what she is and isn't doing, however constrained those choices might be.

General Prompts (For Any Request)
I love stories about nature and environmentalism! Tell me weird facts about Teyvat's flora and fauna and how any of these people have learned these things, or about characters exploring, camping, scouting, climbing mountains (or mountain-sized trees!), and similar things! Pretty much every character here has a reason to be out in nature, after all!
I also think stories about cultural exchange are great! A lot of these pairings are across some kind of cultural divide; what's it like talking about the differences between where they grew up and where they now are? What's it like visiting other countries or cultures? What do they they share? How do they share it? What's it like to see their home culture through another person's eyes?
Magic and technology! I am always here for more about how Visions work and how technology has integrated with magic and how different cultures/countries have developed! Similarly, history! Tell me about history, lived or researched. Delving into ruins, finding strange artefacts, attempting to understand what happened before to prevent it from happening again... There's so much opportunity in Teyvat for that kind of adventure and study!
I also think that a cyberpunk AU based on the Sumeru Archon Quest would be incredibly rad, if you want to play in a more AU space! When I played that questline I kept thinking about how it's cyberpunk themes in a solarpunk setting and it made my brain go !!!, especially when I got to the god-mecha. Dreams as progamming loops? The Akasha as internet implants? Nahida as a literal god in a machine (and Scaramouche as a differnt kind of god in a differnt kind of machine)? It's all so interesting to think about, and if you wanna go that direction I'd love to see what you come up with!
My fave rarepair! ^_^ Botany nerds! I love the potential for them to bond over nature, and especially flowers, and for that to blossom (pun very intended) into romance.
Honestly, a lot of this is me just thinking they'd be cute together. I like their color schemes, and I think that Sucrose and Tighnari could infodump at each other (I read them both as being rather autistic) and that they'd have a lot of fun being with someone else who gets their special interests and hyperfixations. Because they're both scientists, but with somewhat different focuses/drives, they could also help each other problem-solve when they're stuck in an experiment.
I also think that they'd have a ton of fun showing each other the natural environments of their homeland! Sucrose might be less of an outdoorsy person than Tighnari, but she's still a botanical researcher; she knows her way around Mondstadt. And Tighnari is a Forest Ranger, so obviously he'd be able to take Sucrose camping and show her absolutely everything about Sumeru!
Plot-wise, I would love something about science bringing them together. Maybe they both present at various science conventions, and it's a slow-burn? Maybe one of them reaches out to the other for help with a project? Maybe they end up collaborating on a scientific paper together?
Or maybe it's more of a road trip adventure! They could even stumble across some unknown Domain or underground system that they hadn't previously known about and explore it together, if you want more of an adventure-y approach. Plenty of room for hurt/comfort tropes there too, if you'd like!
I'd equally happy to have this be an established relationship thing where they've been low-key together for a while and the story's about them finally both having a vacation together for the first time in months because they're usually so busy in their separate homes. That could be super cute! And possibly integrate elements of the previous prompts, too.
I tend to imagine their age difference as Sucrose being a grad student (mid/late 20s) while Tighnari is a post-doc researcher (late 20s/early 30s), so they're both adults but in somewhat different (but overlapping) stages of life.
(Also: trans woman Sucrose and he/him butch lesbian Tighnari would be my absolute favorite thing, but you don't need to get into trans/gender stuff if you don't wanna.)
Sethos/Tighnari (Genshin Impact)
Two very helpful people who keep being like "I mean I guess I'm in charge but can you stop saying it like that?" to the people around them and seem to genuinely enjoy wandering around the wilderness! Truly I just looked at Sethos and immediately went "I want to see him with Tighnari" and haven't looked back.
I'm also fascinated by the way Tighnari's heritage as a Tighnarian/Valuka Shuna (people modeled after Hermanubis) relates to Sethos's role as a leader of the Temple of Silence (created by and dedicated in part to Hermanubis). Is this something they think about? Talk about? Have feelings about? (tbh I would be very down for a roleplay/kink thing about Tighnari either (a) playing the role of Hermanubis in god/devotee roleplay sex or (b) being collared and leashed as Sethos's pet.)
I'd also love the two of them just going and exploring more of the world together! Taking a vacation/road trip! Maybe they only allow this of themselves because they need to go track down some shard of knowledge about Hermanubis/King Deshret that requires both Sethos's knowledge and Tighnari's heritage to unlock? Maybe they're doing it just for joy? But either way, I love that sort of exploration and camaraderie for the two of them as they grow closer together—or enjoy an established relationship and the familiarity of travel together!
Cyno being Lisa's shidi fascinates me! They took such different routes through life despite having the same teacher. I'd love to see more of them together. And Razor, too, if you'd like! I think that Cyno and Razor could bond over their canine-related magic! Razor bringing Cyno (and Lisa) to meet Andrius/his wolf-father would be neat! Or they could spar together! Maybe Lisa takes Razor to visit Cyno in Sumeru? Lots of fun options here!
But focusing just on Cyno and Lisa, I'm curious about Lisa's relationship with the Akademiya in general and Cyno seems like a good window into that! His role in the Akademiya is a mirror of Lisa's role in the Knights of Favonious: where Lisa is an academic who can also fight, Cyno is a warrior who is also an academic. Something exploring the contrast between those elements would be neat!
I'd also adore something set during their student years! What was learning from Cyrus like? How much did they collaborate? What were their focuses? What sort of shenanigans did they get up to? Feel free to include other Akademiya characters in this if you'd like, both OCs and canon characters—Tighnari is obviously a fave, but I like Alhaitham and Kaveh too.
The flavor text at the end of Cyno's second story quest, where we learn that young Lisa took a lot of candid photos of Cyno and Cyrus, is very cute! If you want to integrate that into your work somehow (five times Lisa took a photo of Cyno, and one time he took a photo of her? a comic focused on her taking those photos? recreating old photos as adults?), I think that'd be cute!
I think it'd be particularly fun if they exchanged academic notes/papers with each other, or ended up collaborating on something, or otherwise teamed up somehow. Maybe one of them needs the other's expertise for a problem that came up! idk, I just think they're fun!
If you want to include / relationships as background in this, I adore rarepairs and femslash just in general, and enjoy Cyno/Tighnari. But I definitely want this to focus on the & relationship!
Mentorship! I love Lisa's teacher/academic side. She's so smart, and she studied at the Akademiya, and chooses instead to mostly be a librarian. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been a fantastic peer tutor at the Akademiya, and also a TA who ran intro-level classes. So of course she has a teenager she's mentoring! That's fantastic! I love that for her.
Razor is also fascinating! I think he's very cute. I think his raised-by-wolves backstory is fun. I'd love to hear more about how he began integrating into Mondstadt society, and how Lisa in particular became his mentor. How does he balance human and wolf society? Does he go back to the wolves occasionally? Do Lisa and Andrius collaborate on Razor's teaching?
I think it'd be fun to see anything examining this mentorship relationship. Razor's integration into society is on-going, of course, and anything exploring how Lisa helps him find his place will delight me. I also enjoy reading about education in general, and would be particularly interested in magical education!
Please show Razor as being intelligent, even if he doesn't speak fluently. His first language is wolf, and he's very able to convey his feelings and desires in the human tongue; that's what matters.
They're both cute and enthusiastic teens! I think they'd have a lot of fun running around together. Razor could show Bennet his wolf-family! Bennet could take Razor to meet his dads! They could go on adventures together! They're both pretty independent people who still have a lot to learn and plenty of space to grow, and I think it'd be lovely to see them doing that together.
I'd enjoy stories about exploration, missions for the Knights, hurt/comfort, and what being a young person in the Knights is like! I also think this could easily blend with the Lisa & Razor request, if any of that is inspiring for you.
(Note: I consider Bennet and Razor both to be old enough that I'm happy to read about them having sex if that's something you're interested in. They're adolescents, I think them fooling around with sex is normal.)
Time, memory, and second chances.
They're both so old but so young at the same time, and I'm fascinated by that—as well as the complicated power dynamics inherent in their relationship. I'd love to read something that explores the ways they interact with each other, their newfound freedom (or something like that), and the powers they can wield and how they effect the world and each other.
How do they help each other grow? How do they hold each other in check? What do they know that the other doesn't? What do they share with each other, and what do they want to keep to themselves? (This slipping into potentially shippy vibes is a-okay with me!)
I'm also super interested in Scara's feelings about names, gender, and embodiment! (aka: if you want to write any kind of trans Scara, I am here for it!) He's been so many different people, and done so many different things, and now here's Nahida asking him to attempt to be a person for his own sake. He wears a hat that hides his face, doesn't give a shit what people call him, and doesn't want to engage with people. And yet! There's always so much under the surface, with him.
Nahida's also fascinating, because she has two true histories: the one Traveller remembers, where we first met her, and the new one where she's always been the Archon. I'd love something that plays with this dichotomy of Nahida's history and lived experience.
I have a DNW about mind control. Scara's plotlines often revolve around such things. You are welcome to include references to canon instances of puppetry and mind control and the like, but I'd prefer you treat them as the often-traumatic experiences any such extreme loss of control can be.
(I named my post-Sumeru-Archon-Quest Scaramouche 'Aozora', if that matters to you, but I'm fine with you calling him whatever makes sense to you in the context of this fic.)
Request: Char: Luke Skywalker (SWOT)
DNW dark!Luke or sith!Luke
I love Luke-centric fanworks! He's always been a fave of mine. I love the way he grows into himself over the course of the OT, the righteous anger burning inside him, the way compassion is his strength, and how dedicated he is to his family and friends.
What if Luke went to the Imperial Academy? How would that disillusion him? How would he find his way to the Rebel Alliance? Would he ever meet Obi-Wan? Would Darth Vader ever notice him? I'm overall interested in (1) the circumstances of Luke getting to the Imperial Academy, (2) how you think the Imperial Academy works, and (3) how Luke would feel about the Imperial Academy once he's actually there (instead of it being a symbolic dream of leaving home). Anything playing with those elements will be fantastic!
What if Luke and Obi-Wan rescued Luke's family and took them on the adventure? How would that change things? Especially if you integrate Star Wars: Kenobi as part of canon, so that Owen and Beru are perfectly aware of what all has gone down with Ben in the past. I'd also find it fun if Beru and Breha have been in contact about the twins' development. (If you manage to make this also an AU where Bail and Breha, at least, survive Alderaan's destruction... that'd be super cool...)
What was it like for Luke to start a Jedi temple? (I'm fond of the Legends EU takes on this but I'm also here for you imagining something else!) How did he decide to found a temple? Why did he choose the location he did? How did he even figure out what he was going to teach? Did he get any support from the New Republic? Did other Jedi (or ex-Jedi) come out of hiding to help him teach? Feel free to blend this into the following prompt!
I think it'd be fun to read about Luke meeting other Force users and constructing his personal syllabus of Important Force Things! He's been taught the basics by Obi-Wan and Yoda, but there's so much that he doesn't know. Even if he wanted to teach others, he'd probably first need to figure out how to find other Force-sensitives and also maybe want to try and figure out other things the Force can do. Feel free to make things up, reference the Legends EU (I am extremely fond of it), or pull from the Disney EU. Or get inspired by Star Wars: Visions, honestly! There's cool stuff there! (However, I DNW Grogu/content from The Mandalorian.)
Additional prompt: this image [image description: a B&W photo of presumably a newspaper during the lead-up to ESB. it shows a picture of Darth Vader and Boba Fett looking at each other with Lando in the background. the caption reads "If Boba Fett is indeed the elder Skywalker in disguise, he must be ever mindful not to give away his identity by using the Force near Vader."]
Please use an AU where Darth Vader's name is literally Darth Vader (as in, 'Darth' isn't a title and 'Vader' isn't a name given to him because he's a sith/darksider) if you go for this, and feel free to name Luke's dad whatever you want. Bonus points for Darth Vader and Boba Fett being exes, so Darth Vader still isn't lying about being Luke's father. (Extra bonus points for Darth Vader being trans and the one who gave birth to Luke [and potentially also Leia].) But, in general, just something exploring this possibility space and what Luke's reaction to that whole mess would be, focusing mostly on only early OT canon.
I'm happy for you to give Luke a romantic/sexual relationship if you think it adds to the story, but I'd prefer that a romantic/sexual relationship not be the focus of the story. Some examples of relationships I'd enjoy: Luke/Leia(/Han), Luke/Mara Jade, Luke/Bodhi, Luke/Biggs, Luke/Original Character
Optional: Feel free to write an AU that only takes into account the original Star Wars movie (aka, A New Hope)! I think it's cool seeing what happens when that's the only canon basis for a fanwork.
Requests
General Notes:
Please include as much Force philosophy as you'd like, and don't feel like you need to shy away from the darker side of canon. The Clone Wars and its effect on everyone is central to everyone I'm requesting, as is the rise of the Empire. I think everyone here has trauma and I am happy to receive a gift focused on characters working through that, in whatever questionably effective ways you're interested in showing. Recovery is not a straightforward path and a lot of these people are bad at talking about/processing their feelings!
Obi-Wan/Chirrut/Baze:
Maybe one of them does a Study Abroad year which leads to a relationship. Maybe Obi-Wan and Baze meet during the war (and Baze brings Obi-Wan home to meet his other sweetheart). Maybe it's an arranged marriage. Maybe Obi-Wan takes Anakin to the Guardians to experience other ways of using the Force and ends up falling for Chirrut and Baze along the way. Maybe they're teenagers getting together on a temple field trip. Maybe they're lonely post-war adults seeking connection through love and the Force. Or maybe something else!
Other elements I think would be fun: Comparative Force studies and philosophy debates. Different ways of looking at the Force leading to different ways of thinking about love and relationships. An AU where R1 lives and three of them rebuild the Temple of the Whills somewhere. Old married couple vibes, teasing and fondness and being comfortable together. The very fuzzy line between martial talent and using the Force. Anything along the lines of Star Wars-flavored wuxia! They're already halfway there, after all!
Reva &/ Ahsoka
The Jedi Order failed both of them in very different ways. What happens if they meet after the events of Kenobi? What lessons can they teach each other? Did they ever meet while Reva was a youngling and Ahsoka was a padawan? Do they recognise each other as adults?
What would happen in a world without Order 66? Or a world in which Reva had been found by Obi-Wan or another Jedi (/Jedi sympathiser) in the aftermath of Order 66? One where Reva hadn't grown up as an Inquisitor? Would she and Ahsoka meet earlier, as two Force-users connected to the Rebellion?
I just *gestures at them* there's so much potential here! Reva trying to redeem herself. Ahsoka having chosen to reject the Jedi Order. Their different knowledge about Anakin's fate. The desire to prevent the Empire from continuing to rise. Ahsoka trying to hide her Jedi nature by avoiding the Force, while Reva pretends she doesn't cling to the Jedi teachings underneath the Inquisitorial teachings she's received.
Anything about how these two interact would be so juicy to me! Please, explore and expand the world of Star Wars however you'd like! I love Force nonsense and philosophy and references to the Legends EU, too!
Reva &/ Barriss
This draws very heavily on the Barriss episodes of "Tales from the Empire".
What if Reva heard about the Jedi who turned her face away from the Inquisitorial role she'd been offered and lived? What if Reva was obsessed with finding her? What if she succeeded, and then asked Barriss to save her too?
Or, what if Barriss stayed in the Inquisitorius? What if she became a mentor/older sister to Reva? What if they schemed together? What if they weren't alone?
I think there are just a bunch of neat possibilities here! If you see another angle, I am absolutely down to hear what you're thinking!
I am also down for Reva/Barriss/Ahsoka (or & combinations!) if you want to mix the two Reva requests in some way!

Char: Asajj Ventress
Asajj's path through life fascinates me. I'd love an AU where she becomes a Jedi (either because she was raised as one or because she turns to the Jedi and joins them after being a Sith). I'd love a character study about what it's like to be Dooku's apprentice. I'd love something about her choice to become a mercenary. Basically: Pick any era of Asajj's life and I'd be interested to read something digging into who she is and what she's up to!
I love Asajj because she's complicated. She works for Dooku but she eventually turns on him. She's a Nightsister (and that's never explored enough! I'd love a Nightsister-centric work too!). She's a bounty hunter, for a while at least. She does good things and bad things and mostly just tries to be in a position to do what she wants but that doesn't always work out. Anything examining her psychology and wants and choices would be great.
For a Jedi!Asajj AU, I don't want any of her prickliness and snark sanded away. I like those parts of who she is! But being taught as a Jedi apprentice instead of a Sith one (even if the Sith who taught her was once a Jedi too) is a different experience. What was it like? What sort of Jedi would she have become? Would she have left the Order? How would it interact with her Nightsister heritage? Would she be called back by Mother Talzin eventually?
I also love Asajj working with Jedi. I ship her and Obi-Wan, obviously, but I also really enjoy when Ahsoka and Asajj need to work together. Especially in the aftermath of Ahsoka leaving the Jedi, I think there's a lot of potential for Asajj being a reluctant mentor about "this is how you put your life back together after you lose the only home you knew".
Obi-Wan Kenobi/Asajj Ventress
I love the respect they have for each other despite being on opposite sides. I love that they know how to fight alongside each other because they've learned each other as rivals. I love the idea that they're of the same lineage, too; Dooku taught Qui-Gon who taught Obi-Wan, while Asajj learned from Dooku himself.
I would adore any kind of casefic/missionfic that throws them together, especially if they need to work together despite knowing that at the end only one of them will get the prize. They're both after some Force macguffin? They both need information from the same underworld contact? They both want to capture a specific neutral station? Some other situation that you've thought of? Go for it!(Bonus !!! if you fit them being undercover as in a relationship into it somehow and make them need to pretend to act on real feelings!)
I also love "we've crashed on X place and need to work together to survive" is a great starting point for them. They've both very skilled! But if they're in the middle of nowhere and need to wait for rescue (whose side would get there first?) or travel to a city to get out again, then they only have each other. Broken limbs, inclement weather/temperature, and the like are welcome excuses to make them cuddle/snuggle and otherwise tend to each other.
If you think Jedi!Asajj is an interesting AU, I'd also love to see them working together as two Jedi on a mission!
An incomplete list of things I enjoy with this pairing:
- Snark and banter and begrudging allies
- Battle couples and unexpected team-ups against greater dangers
- Asajj being kinder than Obi-Wan expects
- Obi-Wan being more ruthless than Asajj expects
- There's this freeform tag I've seen in flash exchanges, which I'm not getting exactly right: "We keep having sex in so many different places (why don't we try a bed this time?)" That tag gets across many of my feelings about this ship, which are about how neither of them are particularly happy about being so attracted to the other, but wow is the sex good (and/or the kink! nonsexual kink relationships are also amazing.)
- I'm always here for femdom with this, or anything else where Obi-Wan kneels for Asajj
- I don't think either of them get enough physical affection; make them huddle for warmth while trapped and realise how touch-starved they really are.
- Anything where they need to work together for a mutual goal (whether they intend to at the beginning or not) is delightful to me!
Requests
I have not consumed any High Republic Era stuff except for The Acolyte. Please do not assume any further knowledge on my part!
I am very here for gen stories and character studies! I am also very here for femslash, especially with Jecki, as well as Osha/Sol and Osha/Qimir. (The request for those two ships overrides my "unrequested romantic/sexual teacher-students relationships" DNW.)
Overall, I wish the show had either been written in a more focused manner or been given way more time for all the relationships to breathe. To that end, I'm mostly going to be asking for expansion on backstories and ideas about what might happen after the end of s1. (It's absolutely set up for a second season, but I'm not holding my breath about when that might emerge.)
Osha
I am absolutely fascinated by Osha's relationship with the Force! The show implies that she has an affinity for the Dark Side, and had difficulties accessing the Force while attempting to follow the Jedi creed. So, what was it like for her to train as a Jedi? She wanted this so badly, and her path there was full of so much pain, and it doesn't sound like the Jedi gave her much (if any) trauma counselling about it. How did they teach her? How did other padawans treat her? What did she think of the Temple? What sort of missions did she go on with Sol?
Speaking of Sol: I know the show badly wants us to read his relationship with Osha as father-daughter but unfortunately cdramas have taught me that the way they act about each other is extremely shizunfucker of them. So. I do not think Sol would have acted upon that, or acknowledged it, before Osha left the Jedi. But after? Upon seeing her again and her being a person living an adult life of her own? I could absolutely see something happening between them. I could see them having a tragic bad-idea romance and/or sex. I'd be interested in how fucked up they'd both be about that desire and acting upon it.
I'm also interested in how and why Osha left the Jedi. Is this something which happens often? Are there other ex-Jedi in the world? Did Osha have a model for how leaving the Jedi might work? (This feels like it has a relationship to the Legends EU idea of padawans who didn't get chosen going to work for AgriCorps or the like—if you want to make an explicit tie there, go for it!) How did Osha end up as a meknek? What is being a meknek like? I would love more about Osha's life outside the Jedi, and if she was happy like that, and why she was doing such a dangerous job instead of finding a safer/more stable/more legal mechanical job. Was she, at some level, looking for Mae?
Post-s1, I'd love something about Osha's relationship with Qimir. I am not sold on them as a ship from canon alone, but I am absolutely down with that ship if you want to write it. I want to know about how Qimir trains her in the dark side, what Osha even wants right now, and what they're planning on doing next. I'm aware that Darth Plageius was teased but I do not care about him!
I also honestly kind of wanted Osha and Mae to somehow combine into one body at the end of s1. I am fascinated by their whole one-person-two-bodies thing and would be into something that plays with that further. What triggered Osha's vision of Mae in ep1? Has she had other visions before? Does knowledge leak between them somehow? What would have happened if Osha had been able to pull on that connection right after the tragedy on Brendok and tell Sol, with absolute certainty, that Mae wasn't dead? An AU where she makes the Jedi go back for Mae would be fascinating, whether or not they succeed at finding her at that point. (After all, Qimir might have gotten her first... then Osha would be determined to grow up and prove that she was right... wouldn't that be interesting?)
Mae
As I said in the Osha section, I would love more about the connection between Osha and Mae. What if they could share knowledge, had telepathy, or otherwise had the strong bond that the whole "one person, two bodies" implies to me. What if Mae knew that Osha was still alive after Brendok? Did she try to reach out? Did Qimir block her ability to do so? What would she have done if she'd known Osha was alive?
How did Mae get off Brendok? When did she meet The Stranger? What was her training like? Where was she trained? Was she isolated from society? I have so many questions about how she became an assassin. Please tell me your thoughts about her adolescence!
I'm also very curious about Mae's life after s1. Vernestra is going to turn her into a very different weapon than Qimir did! It is going to be terrible! I am very invested in seeing where that goes! What does Mae remember? (How well did that mind-wipe even work?) What is she told? How does Vernestra teach her? What's it like when she's set loose like a hunting dog pointing straight for Osha?
Jecki
Jecki deserved better than the ending she got. She's so clever, more sensible than most of the adults around her, very skilled with a lightsaber, and also she's very clearly gay and trying to work out how to square that with the whole Jedi thing about avoiding attachment. I want her to live! I want her to be happy! I want her to continue doing cool stuff! And I would happily read about her being shipped with either Mae or Osha!
I think it would be fascinating if Jecki survived the massacre on Khofar! Whether because Sol refused to let her come on what was rapidly becoming a very dangerous mission, or because Qimir didn't stab her in exactly the right spot (alien biology!) and then Sol could rescue her after the end of everything, or some other solution I'm not thinking of right now, I would love to see what happens if she survives s1 and hears Vernestra throwing Sol under the bus. Jecki knows that's not what really happened, so: How would Vernestra keep Jecki from telling the the truth? What would people think of Jecki, as Sol's padawan? Would she be seen as sharing the blame or as a poor victim of everything? What would happen once she realised Mae was also at the Temple? Any or all of those questions sound like fantastic starting points for a story!
I would also love to see her friendship with other apprentices! Does she know Tasi Lowa? (Yord's padawan, who we meet briefly in ep1 when they question Osha on the Nemoidian ship; I'd love to see her expanded upon!) And, hey, if you want to have a f/f romance between minor characters: I would adore that actually! Jecki/Tasi would be super cool! I am also totally fine with them being friends, of course.
Qimir | The Stranger
What was his apprenticeship under Vernestra like? Where did he get those scars? Why did he ditch the Jedi Order to become a darksider? Why didn't Vernestra think he was still alive? How did he get that cortosis helmet/armor? Was Qimir even his original name? (I'd guess not, unless it's common enough that Sol wouldn't think it odd to run into someone with the same name as Vernestra's old padawan...) Why did he make the Qimir persona? Did he ever want to just be Qimir instead of being a masked Stranger?
I am aware I mostly just have QUESTIONS about him! I think he's a fascinating character, and I love his casual off-handed quoting of Sith ideology, the way he hides himself in plain sight, and how readily his emotions come to the fore. I don't ship him with Mae, but I could see him and Osha being super interesting post-canon.
I've written about my general OW likes at the end of this section!

Angel Carcass Fallen From the Sky & Scientists Studying It (OW)
This is just so cool??? Please get as weird and horrific (or as strange and beautiful!) as you want with the angel carcass! Define "angel" in any way you'd like! I am so here for eldritch monstrosities and "angel" merely being a convenient word for the whatever-it-is that stuck. How big is it? How human(oid) is it? Is it made of the same sort of stuff as normal life on whatver planet? Is it anything anyone has ever seen before, whether alive or dead?
One way I think about taking this is a moderately dystopic thing where the "angels" are basically a police force and this carcass falling from the sky gives the people hope that they can rise up and take them down, so the scientists are studying it to figure out why this happened and how they can use it to their advantage.
Another way would be viewing the angels as protctors against some unknown force (lovecraftian horror? conquering aliens? something else?) and this as a sign that things are going wrong, so that the scientists are instead studying it to try and figure out how to prevent it from happening again.
Or this is the first sign the people have ever had that these exist! So the scientists are studying it for a chance to figure out wtf it is and how it works in any way at all!
I am extremely here for as much technobabble as you'd like to put in. I am also here for science and magic being a blended study, if you'd like to go more fantasy-vibes!
I'm excited to learn about the dynamics within the team of scientists (how long have they known each other? have they worked together before?), and also about whatever external pressures are upon them (governmental oversight, lab funding difficulties, their families wanting them home more, etc.), and also how they relate to the carcass (do they love it? fear it? think of it as a person? want to meet a living one? are glad it's dead? worry that they'll catch something from it? something else entirely?).
Mecha/Their Pilot/Their Engineer (Any/Any/Any) (OW)
I love mecha! I am particularly fond, as this request may imply, of mecha who are sentient machines—unknowable, alien, divine, mundanely powerful, whatever—and therefore people in their own right, even if the majority of society might not be aware of that. Their intimates (their pilots and crew) are no doubt aware, of course, but there's still likely a spectrum of emotions that can evoke: awe, fear, hatred, love, etc.
The bond between a pilot and their mecha is wildly important to me because it's about becoming one entity, a single body with two brains. How much control does the pilot really have? Whose desired outcome is prioritised? How differently do they perceive the world while the pilot is in the mecha? How long does it take for them to bond? What's it like piloting a new mecha/gaining a new pilot (or are they trained/created together)? Do they have any special link when the pilot isn't in the mecha? Does the pilot need any special powers/adaptations/ports in order to pilot the mecha?
I think that engineers are often underrepresented in media like this. They're the ones keeping these vast machines running! They know their mecha inside and out, even if they never pilot the machines. How much must you love the machine you maintain like that? How much must the mecha trust the engineer who they allow to rummage around in their wires and gears?
And, of course, the pilot and engineer need to be on the same page about what needs fine-tuning, what damage needs repairing, and also how much they care for the mecha that their lives center around.
I love military sci-fi settings, so that's the implied setting here to me! I adore solar-system level stuff (or even smaller; Gundam tends to take place almost entirely within Earth's own orbit, and Pacific Rim is all in Earth's oceans) because I see it much more rarely than galaxy-spanning space opera, but I do also love a good space opera. I'd also find it so cool to see fantasy elements in this: Make the mecha a divine relic! Tell me about dwarves and their steampunk mecha! Or about elves and the trees they shape into war machines! Kobolds building mecha to fend off and/or idolize dragons! Or something else entirely!
I'd also love a story where the mecha isn't a war machine! Mecha as machines of infrastructure! Builders, explorers, trailblazers—there's plenty of uses for big humanoid robots other than being weapons of mass destruction. Feel free to go that direction as well!
Basically, I'll love anything that explores what these characters get up to, what their place in society is, and how they relate to each other. I love both established relationships and new relationships (and, for poly, a mix of both is always great). So long as these characters care intensely about each other and center each other in their lives, I'm sure I'll have a great time with whatever you come up with!
(And if you want to create something featuring robotfucking/wireplay/something about how piloting is like sex: hell yeah go for it! :D)
Down-on-his-luck scholar/Female general looking for a ruzhui husband (OW)
This relationship is such a fun prompt! I love how it shifts the assumptions of social class and status around. Like, obviously scholars are generally respected, but this one is down-on-his-luck! Something had to have happened there. What? (Did he piss someone off? If so, how? Is he suffering from a family member being disgraced? Was he associated with something that went horribly wrong? Or is he just suffering from a string of mundane minor sufferings?) And a female general! Are women commonly accepted into the military, or is this an oddity? How did she come to this status?
I am interested in either a long slow courtship or an arranged/decreed marriage of some sort where they need to learn about each other and fall in love after they're already married. These people seem like they'd likely come from rather different circumstances and not necessarily think about life in the same way! Which is very fun to see people work through and find a balance for where they understand and appreciate each other even if they don't have the same framework for life.
If you're interested in writing about battles/campaigns/fighting, I would love to see the female general in her element! That would be so fun! I am also very here for seeing the scholar doing his thing! I love academia and poetry and in-universe documents etc. (Or have him be into something more esoteric and/or occult! Alchemy, cultivation manuals, religious rites/ghost stuff...) Please feel free to go as deep into any of those topics (or other topics!) as you'd like.
I also love seeing the main characters' friends and families! I love characters being in communities, and I'd love to know what those people think of this marriage: is it reasonable for people of their status, do they think it'll end well, are there rumours (true or otherwise) about their partner, are they worried about anything, did they ever think these people would get married...
Really, please feel free to go into the nitty-gritty of emotional beats! And feel free to make the marriage something that's hard for the characters to make work! I would like it to be something they're satisfied with in the end, but it can often be so satisfying to see them work for it. I'm also happy with the romantic/sexual feelings being less relevant than companionate feelings; if this ends up feeling more queerplatonic than anything else, that's absolutely fine with me!
Heretical Cultivator/Orthodox Cultivator (Any/Any) (OW)
I would be particularly into f/f here but really I just enjoy this set of tropes! I love people who should be opposed to each other falling in love and caring about each other despite themselves.
Something that I find fascinating here is the definition of "heretical" and "orthodox". I've had it explained to me that this is really more about "is this a known method of cultivation that won't kill you (orthodox)" and "is this a way of cultivating that might kill you/make you qi deviate/etc (heretical)", which means that you can have a terrible person who's still orthodox and a good person who's heretical and I think that's also very fun to play around with.
I adore martial arts and fight scenes. Please give me as much detail as you're willing and able to give about special techniques and sparring. If that's "they exchanged two dozen moves in the blink of an eye" and not actual details about what those moves are, that's okay! I love The Vibes of it too.
I love casefic, monster-of-the-week shenanigans, and magic/cultivation theory! If you want to go into high fantasy instead of low fantasy, I'm also here for that—give me all the mythology and magical beings and shapeshifting and human-world trials! They're super fun! But also I just like people solving mysteries, fighting monsters, and using arrays/talismans/qi techniques to justify all the badass stuff they can do.
I also enjoy sect politics! Please tell me about how these cultivators interact with the jianghu! What petty rivalries are there? What about genuine feuds? Who are various people obligated to? What are the martial arts meetups going on? How do all of these things throw the cultivators together?
I am extremely here for tropey nonsense! Sucking poison out of wounds! Kneeling in the rain! Hidden texts that keep getting people who try to acquire it killed! Cool non-sword weapons! Running around on rooftops! Musical cultivation! Probably at least a dozen other things not coming to mind right now!
Magical Girl/Member of the Enemy Faction Getting Redeemed (F/Any) (OW)
This is such a classic of the genre! I really do mean it when I don't have any preference for the redeemed person's gender. I think it might be fun if some of the redemption is "if I join your side I can be the person I really want to be (aka: trans)", but that's just one potential direction to go.
I've enjoyed every subgenre of magical girl I've been exposed to. Feel free to draw from whatever magical girl media you know for inspiration! Shows that are magical girl (or adjacent) which I can think of off the top of my head are Sailor Moon, Utena, Madoka Magica, The Witch from Mercury, Steven Universe, and Witch Hat Atelier. Obviously, some of these are more classical magical girl shows than others, but they get the vibes across I'm pretty sure!
One of the things I really enjoy about the genre is the focus on teams! There's usually a main protagonist, sure, but they generally have a solid group of people around them to provide support and assistance. I am equally happy to have the Magical Girl be the implied central protagonist of the group or to have her be one of the supporting cast who happens to be the one with this particular romance storyline. Mostly, I just would love to have some of that team dynamic in here! Probably not every member of the team has the same opinion about whether this redemption is possible, let alone the romance aspect!
I would prefer the major characters of your work be at least 16 so that I'm not spending the whole time going "oh god they're so young" unless that is indeed the emotion you wish to evoke. If it is, go ahead!
I would equally much love starting in the middle of a story (such as at the moment the person getting redeemed begins that journey) and needing to fill in the backstory of how these two first met and why the factions are opposing each other etc etc as I would having a story that goes from their first meeting to the full redemption. I love getting dumped in the middle of the action! It's fun! It's also fun seeing the entire growth of a relationship. (You can achieve both of these by going non-chronological, of course.)
I would enjoy shenanigans including (but certainly not limited to!) "the magical girl got captured by the opposing faction and the love interest frees her", "A and B are besties IRL but enemies under the mask and have a crisis of faith (or sudden belief in the possibility of redemption) when this secret is exposed", "trapped together and need to work together to get free", "are stuck being each other's date at a fancy ball (mind this way less than they feel like they should)", and/or "magical girl tends to enemy's wounds while the enemy is like ??? about being cared for this way".
Please feel free to go tropey! And to use any genre/setting you'd like as a basis for your story! I love magical girls IN SPACE and the like! :D
Previous Magical Chosen One Who Rebelled/New Magical Prodigy Training as Chosen One (F/F)
What does it even mean to be a "Chosen One"? Who chose them? Why were they chosen? How many chosen ones are there at any point in time? I'm happy to see "chosen one" as a trope in basically any genre. I have a fondness for magical girl storylines like this, because of the team elements and the way they're often focused around hope and coming-of-age and pointing out the flaws in cultural views of girls vs women, but I also adore the classic epic fantasy chosen one out to save the world from an evil overlord/god/whatever. Transpose this into mecha or space opera or whatever, if you'd like! I'm honestly down for basically anything, so long as you're interrogating the trope of a "chosen one".
What does it mean to "rebel"? Who or what did the previous chosen one rebel against? Is this a story about the institution which trained you (and said that it loved you, and that you were perfect, and that you were going to save the world) actually being The Bad Guys? (I do like stories like that!) Or is this a story about rebelling against Fate and choosing your own path? (Love those too!) Or something else! Lots of ways to rebel! Very curious what interpretation of this prompt you'll chose!
How did these two meet? I'd imagine that a new chosen one isn't meant to meet a rebellious former chosen one. Is the rebel attempting to seduce new chosen ones to her side? Or was the new chosen one sent after the rebel to hunt her down? Did the new chosen one even know about the previous chosen one's existence before they met? Like, was she told that there had been other chosens in the past who failed? If so, what story was told about this rebel? Or, if the new chosen one didn't know about previous chosen, what's her reaction to finding out that she isn't the first/only chosen one?
As far as relationships go, I kind of stare at this and go "yeah that's yuri" just by default. xD Which isn't super helpful, creator! Sorry about that! But I think there's always going to be a pull between two people who were both supposed to be "the best" and one has chosen to go "fuck that" and the other is still deciding what they want. So I'm honestly down for anything here!
Punk biker girl/teacher's pet learning about the forbidden delights of the world? Masked bandit who only goes after assholes/protector of the people belatedly realising they're on the same side? A mysterious figure who keeps rescuing the chosen one and tempting her with whispers of forbidden secrets, who gets hurt and the chosen one tends to as the rebel desperately attempts to continue being mysterious and not reveal their secret past connections? Please feel free to lean into identity porn along with everything else! :D I'm excited to see what ideas you come up with!
Supernatural Private Detective/Mundane Private Detective Working Same Case (Any/Any) (OW)
I love detectives, mysteries, and urban fantasy tropes. Please feel free to lean into them or twist them as much as you'd like! I am also down for any subgenre: noir, thriller, horror, whodunnit, puzzlebox mystery, locked room murder mystery, something focusing more on the "why?" than the "who?" or "how?" (or focusing purely on the "how?"!), etc.
Have these two met each other before? Is this the Mundane Detective's first encounter with the supernatural? (Whether or not they knew the Supernatural Detective was supernatural...) I think that either way could be very fun, depending on the sort of story you want to write! I also would be extremely down for an established-relationship story! Seriously, whatever history (or lack thereof) between these two detectives you want to show will be fun for me, so go with the tropes that make you happiest.
My favorite kind of case for this would be one where the case they're on keeps weaving between supernatural and mundane and so the detectives need to keep splitting apart/coming back together to compare notes, because neither of them can progress without informaiton the other holds.
I enjoy both stories about the supernatural living freely/visibly amongst mundane people and stories where the supernatural is hidden in the corners and liminal spaces and only noticed by those who care to look. I'm happy to have your work pull from any culture's stories of the supernatural that you feel comfortable working with, too! Or blend them together; I think that's always very fun.
Feel free to use any gender(s) for characters in prompts without built-in genders! I love f/f, m/f, m/m, and anything with nonbinary characters. I'm extremely fond of seeing trans characters (especially trans men!) and he/him butch lesbians. I'm down for neopronouns if they fit the setting. I love seeing platonic relationships and queerplatonic relationships between any/all people.
I like science fiction and fantasy settings a lot! Historical settings are great too, but I tend to like having some spec-fic element in there. The biggest exception to my "put spec-fic stuff in!" preference is spies, detectives, and mystery prompts, where I'm absolutely fine with the general spy/detective tropes being the spec-fic element.
I also love space fantasy, fantastical science fiction, and anything else that blurs the edges between genres. Horror is great for this too! I'm particularly fond of things like “Here is a world with gods, but hey we’re in space; put science fiction trappings on this fantasy-typical conceit” and “Hello I am a robot in a fantasy world, deal with it”, as well as "This fantasy-looking setting is actually sci-fi! Dragons are aliens! :D".
My fondness for superheroes, similarly to my fondness for spies/detectives, comes from seeing people take common tropes and play with them. Lean into those tropes! Twist them! Subvert them! They're good tropes for a reason!
I like minor magics/subtle things at least as much as giant world-changing magics. Honestly, I just like seeing magic as technology or technology as magic—show me how these different ways of interacting with the world are integrated into everyday lives (or how they aren't but could be and ordinary people get annoyed about it) and I'll be very happy.
I love weird god shit. I'm equally cool with vast unknowable deities and with really mundane "we're people but with a ton of power" kinds of gods. I love gods of very specific domains, and I love people yelling at gods for not being good enough.
My love of loyalty kink and hierarchy and competence porn comes out in my love for both noble+bodyguard kinds of things and military specfic. I really like seeing women rescue themselves and each other, too.
Please feel free to use anywhere you want as your setting or the inspiration for your setting! The Middle East and the Amazon and Oceania and the Arctic Circle and Thailand and the Serengeti are all just as cool (and honestly more interesting due to rarity than) European-based settings. I have a fondness for natural settings, but I also love reading about solarpunk cities and sci-fi space stations and fantasy castles.
A lot of prompts are read as assuming baseline humans unless stated otherwise. That's fine. However, I'm also happy to see you take these prompts and write about non-human characters! I'm delighted to receive gifts about dragons and elves and angels and shapechangers and aliens and all sorts of peoples! I like xeno and furries and exporations of how non-human bodies interact differently with the world than human bodies do, so feel free to incorporate that into anything you create.
